Study On Casework Involvement In Social Support For Elderly People With Only Child Loss In Urban Areas

Due to the implementation of the one-child policy and the unexpected death of some one-child family,parents who lost their only child are increasing in our country.With the first batch of parents who lost their only entering the old age,the pension issues of parents who lost their only child gradually appears.Although the hot topic of parents who lost their only child has attracted wide attention from the society in recent years,as a special group of elderly people,parents who lost their only child,are trapped in both material and spiritual difficulties due to the disruption of family structure.They will face more hardships and challenges in their later life,and need more support from the whole society to meet the needs of their material life,spiritual comfort etc..At present,most of the relevant studies on the parents who lost their only child pay attention to the pension plight,and there are few interventional studies and practical studies on social work.In terms of studying how to help the parents who lost their only child to obtain social support and utilize the social resources,this paper proposes that,on one hand,,the utilization rate of social support for the parents who lost their only child should be improved from the perspective of individuals,on the other hand,on the base of social support system,we should improve the social environment of the parents who lost their only child,integrating the resources of the government,society,community and social organizations to promote the interaction in all aspects.The parents who lost their only child can obtain emotional and material support to change their social status in the future life.Considering the complexity of the problem,this paper will employ the case work method to provide services for parents who lost their only child.This paper will analyze the social support of the service objects from the formal and informal aspects,find out the factors which have the most significant influence on the service objects,design the service plan according to the discovered factors,carry out specific plans to help elderly to create a favorable environment,and enhance external contact with the parents who lost their only child.contact social resources,and help the elderly with parents who lost their only child get social support and resume normal life.
