Abstract/Summary:
The development of undergraduate-level vocational education is an inevitable choice for the improvement of modern vocational education system itself,and an important strategic task to meet the high-quality economic development and industrial structure optimization and adjustment.At present,China’s undergraduate-level vocational education is still in the stage of practical exploration.At this stage,it is a key research topic of primary concern for the state and undergraduate-level vocational institutions to clarify the connotation and development direction of undergraduate-level vocational education and choose a sustainable development path.This study is based on theoretical and empirical evidence,with undergraduate-level vocational education as the main research object of study and theories of career belt theory and organizational ecology as the theoretical basis,and centers on the "generation logic and development path of undergraduate-level vocational education".The paper first defines the meaning of undergraduate vocational education,and then reveals the difference between it and specialized vocational education and applied undergraduate education,so as to further understand the essence of undergraduate vocational education.Secondly,through analyzing the relevant data collected,we systematically sort out the logic and development history of undergraduate vocational education in China,and summarize the common characteristics of undergraduate vocational education in China,such as following the law of vocational education development,serving regional industries,facing vocational jobs and attaching importance to the overall development of human beings.Again,taking Guangdong Province H Vocational University as a case,the current situation,dilemmas and reasons of practical exploration of vocational education at undergraduate level are explored through questionnaires,interviews and observations,and it is found that the university has unclear education goals and vague development orientation,weak experimental training infrastructure and lack of in-depth school-enterprise cooperation,relatively scarce teachers and irregular teacher management,insufficient teaching resources and teaching reform.There is a need to break through the problems.Finally,based on theoretical and empirical research,the development path of undergraduate vocational education is proposed from two levels: the state needs to improve relevant laws and regulations and vocational qualification certificate system,increase education funding,build employment guarantee system and strengthen the construction of undergraduate vocational education degrees to provide strong external guarantee for the development of undergraduate vocational education;while undergraduate vocational colleges need to optimize the training of talents from the perspective of the development of undergraduate vocational education.Vocational colleges and universities need to optimize the talent cultivation mode and improve the talent cultivation system;make up for the shortcomings of professional construction and scientifically improve the curriculum system;strengthen the construction of teachers and build an effective management mechanism;deepen the teaching reform and strengthen the internal construction of schools to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of vocational education at the undergraduate level.
