Anxiety is one of the most common emotional problems affecting teenagers. On the one hand,long-term anxiety will have a negative impact on the body and mind,on the other hand,it is not conducive to the development of students’ mental health.Controllable belief is one of the most important factors affecting emotional experience. With the gradual development of mindfulness training in China, more and more people begin to pay attention to the impact of mindfulness training on emotional experience. Therefore, three experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of emotion controlled beliefs and mindfulness training on the emotional experience of junior high school students with trait anxiety. In experiment 1,questionnaires and experiments were used to investigate the effect of trait anxiety on junior middle school students’ emotional experience: the mediating role of controllable beliefs. The results showed that:(1)the high trait anxiety group experienced more negative emotional experience than the low trait anxiety group.(2)Trait anxiety was positively correlated with emotional experience, and negatively correlated with controllable beliefs; There is a significant negative correlation between emotion controllable belief and emotional experience.(3)The emotion controllable belief plays a partial mediating role between trait anxiety and emotion experience.Experiment 2 investigated the influence of emotion controlled beliefs on the emotional experience of junior high school students with different trait anxiety by manipulating their emotion controlled beliefs. The results showed that:(1)the high trait anxiety group experienced more negative emotional experience than the low trait anxiety group;(2)Compared with the uncontrollable group, the controllable group had less negative emotional experience.(3)In the high trait anxiety group, the emotion controllable group and the emotion uncontrollable group had less negative emotional experience than the control group;Low trait anxiety group: compared with the uncontrollable group, the controllable group experienced less negative emotional experience. In experiment 3,a five-day short-term mindfulness training was used to investigate the effects of short-term mindfulness training on the emotional experience of junior high school students with high trait anxiety. The results showed that the mindfulness training group had less negative emotional experience than the control group. After mindfulness training, the score of emotion controlled beliefs in the mindfulness training group was significantly higher than that in the control group. These results suggest that short-term mindfulness training can improve the level of emotion controlled beliefs of junior high school students with high trait anxiety, and then reduce the negative emotional experience. Conclusions :There are differences between high and low trait anxiety junior high school students’ emotional experience;Emotionally controllable beliefs play a partial mediating role between trait anxiety and emotional experience.Manipulating emotionally controllable beliefs can influence the emotional experience of trait anxiety in junior high school students.Mindfulness training can not only reduce the negative emotional experience of high trait anxiety, but also improve the belief level of emotion control after mindfulness training.Based on the above research results, the following educational enlightenment is proposed :(1)pay attention to the anxiety of middle school students, guide students to learn psychological help timely, reduce the negative emotional experience;(2)Improve the belief of emotional control and enhance the ability of self-control;(3)Feel the practice of mindfulness and play the role of mindfulness training in education and teaching.
