With the promotion of new curriculum standards,new textbooks,and the new college entrance examination,high school students in Jiangxi Province are no longer restricted to fixed tracks of humanities or science,and they are faced with the problem of subject selection: how to maximize the matching between their elective subjects and their future career aspirations and preferences.Currently,Shangrao High School has not implemented systematic career planning education.Based on this demand,career planning education in high school has received high attention from students,parents,and schools.At the same time,there is a huge demand for talent in molecular cell research,molecular biology research,cell biology research,stem cells and regenerative medicine,genetics,and other related fields in China.In response to the requirements of the new curriculum actively help students to formulate career plans early,experience the practical application of biology in specific careers,truly understand biology,and develop a passion for biology,thereby preparing them for entering society.Based on literature research,this article conducted research on the current situation of high school career planning education,the practice of career permeation education in high school biology,etc.through methods such as questionnaire surveys and case analysis.The following research results were obtained:1.The results of the questionnaire survey showed,high school students began to combine their interests and future career directions to choose their subjects.However,they were not satisfied with the school’s existing career education curriculum,which affected their career planning.Schools and teachers did not attach great importance to secondary school career education,and there were problems such as a lack of professional teachers for career planning education,insufficient class hours for career planning education,and a single teaching method.2.Based on the analysis of the People’s Education Press high school biology compulsory textbooks,the teaching design of career permeation education was carried out and teaching practice was conducted using Biology Compulsory 1 as an example.The results of the practice showed improve students’ classroom participation,stimulate their learning enthusiasm,further broaden their physical and mental horizons,and achieve the goal of improving teaching quality and understanding future career development.3.Teaching suggestions and strategies for strengthening career permeation education in high school biology teaching were proposed.From a societal perspective,it is necessary to improve the overall construction of career education,explore teaching materials in biology,improve students’ career awareness,establish school-based courses and textbooks on biology careers,and coordinate with educational authorities to provide more career experience opportunities for students.From a school perspective,there should be a shift in the concept of career education,strengthened inter-school communication,provision of practical experience for teachers to carry out career education,strengthened teacher training,the construction of a professional career education teacher team,and use the new college entrance examination reform as an opportunity to promote career education through a "mentor system".From the perspective of biology teachers,it is necessary to clarify the principles of career education,optimize teaching methods and approaches for career education,and optimize the teaching design for career permeation education.This study has certain guiding and practical value for the integration of career education in high school biology teaching,promoting the improvement of teachers’ professional quality,helping students plan their career paths,and effectively improving teaching effectiveness and quality,which is beneficial to students’ lifelong development. |
