With the launch of the "Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards(2022Edition)",new requirements have been put forward for compulsory education in China.The "New Curriculum for 2022" is a major reform and innovation to the previous one introduced in 2011,marking a new stage in China’s compulsory education reform.The2022 edition of the Compulsory Education Curriculum Program states in the section on deepening education reform: "Explore large-unit teaching,actively carry out integrated teaching activities such as thematic and project-based learning,promote students to learn by example,integrate,strengthen the inner connection between knowledge,and promote knowledge structuring." Therefore,the research and exploration of "large-unit teaching" has strong policy support and will be the focus of front-line teachers in the implementation of the new standards in teaching practice.With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,we front-line teachers are required to think about how to improve students’ learning efficiency while ensuring teaching quality.The American educator Dewey advocated pragmatic unit teaching and put forward the teaching model of "unit teaching".Combining the new standard requirements with the current situation of China’s education,the large unit teaching is an educational trend that can implement the core literacy teaching in China’s aesthetic education.The large-unit teaching helps to improve students’ understanding of knowledge structure,find the consistency and correlation between knowledge in the process of problem solving,and finally achieve a holistic grasp of knowledge,which is also required by the new standard to highlight the comprehensive curriculum.According to the actual situation of my school,I take the lesson "Flying Sky" in the first book of the fourth grade of Renmei edition as the starting point,and design a large unit teaching with the theme of "Flying Sky at Dunhuang" based on the background of the new curriculum,and think and grasp the teaching activities from multiple perspectives combined with the requirements of the new curriculum.The specific measures are to conduct unit content analysis,student learning situation analysis,development,integration and utilization of unit curriculum resources,design effective teaching programs based on the actual situation of our students and teaching resources to meet our school’s large unit teaching needs,and at the same time determine teaching programs based on the actual situation and the overall level of students.In the teaching process,the author as a teacher should let students gradually experience the characteristics of art learning,and ensure that the course content is unified with the actual needs of students,stimulate students’ interest in learning,change the traditional emphasis on professional and over-reliance on the habit of teaching materials,to reflect the direction of comprehensive knowledge transition,to ensure that the teaching content is relevant to students’ learning and life,so that students have a sense of identity.We follow the new standards to cultivate students’ awareness of respect for nature and culture in art practice,develop students’ core literacy,and enhance their aesthetic perception,artistic expression,and creative practice,so as to realize the fundamental educational task of establishing moral education in China.The large-unit approach has the advantage of setting up a framework to develop students’ ability to ask questions and solve problems.In this unit,students can deepen their understanding through real-life situations and practice,helping them to build bridges between knowledge and knowledge,deepen their understanding of subject knowledge,and conduct interdisciplinary learning at their level.Through the study of the new curriculum and large-unit teaching,the author conducted a study on large-unit teaching in the author’s school,solved the teaching phenomena and problems arising from it,explored the design and implementation of large-unit curriculum,studied the advantages and feasibility of large-unit teaching through the study and analysis of teaching results,and conducted questionnaires,seminars and teaching and research activities for teachers and students in the school to provide reference for the further implementation of unitized teaching. |
