Currently, multiple education documents in China emphasize the organic integration of excellent traditional Chinese cultural education and subject education. At the same time, high school geography courses attach great importance to the cultivation of core competencies in geography, which highlights the disciplinary advantages of geography. On the one hand, the dual nature of geography, especially its social and scientific nature, makes it closely related to certain traditional cultural content, which is beneficial for traditional cultural education. On the other hand, the traditional culture, such as "Unity of Heaven and humanity",is highly consistent with the core quality of geography, which is conducive to the cultivation of the core quality of geography. Therefore, integrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into high school geography teaching design will be a prominent manifestation of effectively utilizing this advantage, and there is research value.Under the guidance of multicultural integration education theory, situational cognition theory and constructivism theory, this paper uses the literature research method,Case study method and Action research method to complete various research tasks. In summary, this article is based on the "research scope of Chinese excellent traditional culture" limited in this article and related to the geography discipline.Firstly,it systematically analyzes and condenses the Chinese excellent traditional culture infiltrated in the "content requirements" of the People’s Education Press Geography I and II and their corresponding curriculum standards.Secondly, through systematic analysis of representative high school geography teaching cases designed by others that permeate excellent traditional Chinese culture, combined with the curriculum standards and textbooks that permeate excellent traditional Chinese culture,we designed our own high school geography teaching cases that permeate excellent traditional Chinese culture, and conducted implementation tests on some cases. Finally, based on the results of case analysis, case design, and implementation testing,a general strategy for infiltrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into high school geography teaching design was proposed. This article mainly draws three research conclusions.Firstly,it has condensed the excellent traditional Chinese culture that permeates the high school geography curriculum and textbooks.Specifically,in the "content requirements" corresponding to Geography I and II,there are three contents that permeate four types of traditional culture, and these traditional cultures point to four geographical knowledge points; There are five aspects of geography I in the People’s Education Press that permeate three types of traditional culture, and these traditional cultures are presented in three forms, pointing to five geographical knowledge points; There are 22 contents in Geography II of the People’s Education Press that permeate seven types of traditional culture, and these traditional cultures are presented in eight forms, pointing to six major geographical knowledge points.Secondly, four high school geography teaching cases that permeate excellent traditional Chinese culture were designed, with teaching topics including "Atmospheric Heating Process and Atmospheric Movement-Application of Atmospheric Thermal Circulation","Rural and Urban Spatial Structure","Regional Culture and Urban Rural Landscape",and "The Impact of Transportation Layout on Regional Development".Thirdly, four general strategies for infiltrating excellent traditional Chinese culture into high school geography teaching design were proposed, including teaching goal design: emphasizing the organic integration of core competencies in geography and traditional culture;Teaching content selection: Respect the geographical and cultural content in geography textbooks and make appropriate variations;Teaching process design: emphasizing the use of geographical problem-based teaching to infiltrate traditional culture;Teaching evaluation design: Emphasis is placed on indirectly evaluating the infiltration of traditional culture from a geographical perspective.
