The lack of meaning in life is an important reason for adolescents’ disregard for life, especially in high school, which has a significant impact on the physical and mental development of adolescents.Meaning in life refers to an individual’s deeper understanding and understanding of their own life significance,as well as their pursuit of tasks and goals. As an individual’s relatively stable ability, psychological resilience can produce more meaning in life;At the same time, the Broaden-and-Build theory of positive emotions indicates that positive emotions can expand an individual’s immediate thinking behavior paradigm to help individuals construct sufficient and sustainable physiological and psychological resources to promote individual happiness and sense of purpose. Therefore, based on exploring the relationship between high school students’ psychological resilience and their meaning in life significance,This study uses positive emotions as intermediary variables to analyze the influencing factors of their meaning in life significance, providing more evidence for empirical research on their meaning in life significance; At the same time, intervening with the intermediary variable emotion provides an effective way to promote positive emotional experience among high school students. In the first study of this study,571 high school students from a middle school in Ganzhou City were selected as the research subjects. The measurement tools used were the Meaning in Life Scale, the Psychological Resilience Scale, and the Positive Emotion and Negative Emotion Scale. The three variables in the study were tested for differences in demographic variables, and the correlation between the three was analyzed. Finally, the mediating role of positive emotions in resilience and sense of life significance was explored. On the basis of study 1,study 2 selected 12 subjects for group psychological counseling with a behavioral period of 8 weeks, and set up a control group. After group counseling,A difference test was conducted to verify the effectiveness of group counseling. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)High school students’ meaning in life is at an upper middle level.Specifically, male students scored significantly lower meaning in life seeking than female students, while only children scored lower in meaning seeking than non-only children. However, there were no significant differences in the total score of meaning in life in gender, whether only-children were present, and growth environment.(2)The positive emotions of high school students generally appear to moderate level. The positive emotional scores of only-children were significantly lower than those of non-only children.(3)The overall psychological resilience of high school students remains at a moderate level. There are significant differences in the dimensions of resilience, strength, resilience, and optimism in growth environment, gender, and whether one-child is an only child.(4)Psychological resilience can significantly predict positive emotions and meaning in life significance, and positive emotions can also significantly predict meaning in significance; Moreover, positive emotions have a mediating effect between Psychological resilience and meaning of life.(5)The scientific and standardized design and implementation process of group support activities in this study can effectively promote the positive emotional experience of high school students, thereby indirectly improving their meaning in life significance, and have certain sustainable effects.
