A Study On The Role Adjustment Of Social Workers In Rural Community Cultural Construction Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization

Rural cultural construction is an important part of China’s rural revitalization strategy implementation,and also an important breakthrough for China to achieve comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country.The construction of rural community culture plays a crucial role in the construction of spiritual civilization in rural areas.The Party and government have always attached great importance to the development of rural community culture construction,continuously innovating the ways of rural grassroots cultural undertakings construction,and introducing social work to participate in the construction of rural community culture is a new attempt to develop rural culture.This article takes the role of social workers in the context of rural revitalization as the research object.By analyzing the professional practice of social workers in S community,it systematically sorts out the role difficulties faced by social workers in the process of intervening in rural community cultural construction,and deeply analyzes the reasons for their formation.Suggestions for role adjustment are proposed for different reasons.Research has found that social workers play professional roles in the cultural construction project of S community,including caregivers of community public culture,enhancers of community cultural autonomy,and assistants of community administration.However,they also face role cognitive conflicts,unclear role positioning,and heavy role burdens.Through interviews with different subjects in the community and analysis of the work situation of social workers,it is found that there are three main reasons for the dilemma of the role of social workers: firstly,there is a deviation in the role of social workers under the government led administrative system:the government places too high expectations on social workers,and there is a serious tendency towards government administration;The second is the impact of the characteristics of administrative rural community cultural construction: the lack of farmers’ spiritual and cultural subjectivity,and the conflict between administrative models and social work;The third is the lack of social workers’ own role abilities: the deviation of social workers’ understanding of themselves,and the lack of practical experience among social workers.Finally,this article proposes corresponding suggestions for role adjustment: firstly,multiple parties should work together to unify social awareness of the role of social workers: strengthen the connection between social workers and community organizations,increase social awareness of social workers,and play a role in promoting social work institutions;The second is to provide guidance from multiple sources to clarify the role positioning of social workers: form effective role learning,establish correct role cognition for social workers themselves,and strengthen the guidance and service functions of supervision on the role positioning of social workers;The third is to take multiple measures simultaneously to resolve the role overload of social workers:reduce the administrative work of social workers and improve their professional abilities.
