Study On The Role Dilemmas Of Resident Social Workers

In recent years,with the economic development and social transformation,the relocation of a new type of community appeared.Under the concept of co-construction,co-governance and sharing,professional social work is injecting strength into the new model of community governance,and providing services to the resettlement communities,which has a positive impact on promoting social development.In the process of social workers participating in the demolition and resettlement community governance project,many subjects will have different role expectations of social workers,which is deeply troubled social workers in participation.In order to solve the above dilemmas,based on the theory of social role and social support,the study adopts a variety of research methods,such as questionnaire survey,interview and participatory observation,to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth discussion on the dilemmas of social workers’ participation in community governance.In this paper,the general situation and community details of the resettlement community social work station project are investigated in detail.Based on a large number of survey data,it is found that when social workers in station participate in grassroots community governance,they are not only responsible for helping vulnerable groups,planning and holding special activities,participating in community basic services and helping fight the epidemic,but also to establish contacts with various parties.At the same time,a series of difficulties and challenges such as role gap,role conflict and role ambiguity are further analyzed.Then,the paper analyzes the reasons for the role dilemma of social workers from the following aspects: the contradiction between the limited power of social workers in the station and the needs of community residents,the low degree of cooperation of community residents in the process of receiving social worker services,the inaccurate role positioning of grassroots communities,the lack of practical training and supervision of social workers in the station,and the need to improve the professional ability of social workers.Finally,suggestions are put forward from the aspects of social workers actively providing suggestions to the government to benefit the people,improving community residents’ understanding of the social work industry,the government building a systematic function differentiation mechanism,strengthening the cultivation of social workers’ practical ability and actively improving their professional skills,so as to promote the sound development of the role of social workers.With the continuous innovation of community governance,the function of professional social workers in community governance gradually appears.Exploring the dilemma of the role of social workers in the resettlement community governance is conducive to providing theoretical and practical reference for social workers to play an effective role.
