Sensory integration is the process by which information acquired by the senses is processed by the brain and responds adaptively to the external environment,and is the basis for the coordinated development of human behaviour,emotions,learning and motor responses and the brain.Sensory integration disorders in children can lead to a range of behavioural problems such as poor concentration,poor physical fitness and uncoordinated movements,which can prevent the brain and body from developing properly.4-5 year olds are at a critical stage of rapid physical and brain development,and the development of their sensory integration skills is crucial to their future growth.Different sports have different values for the development of sensory integration skills of4-5 year olds.The balance bike sport is compatible with the psychological and physical qualities of preschool children,and is popular among children and has unique value for the development of sensory integration skills of preschool children.Using a combination of literature,questionnaires,experimental methods and mathematical statistics,the study selected male 4-5 year old children from the Little Lion Children’s Sports Growth Centre and Tao Li Kindergarten in Ganzhou City as subjects and used a group control method to explore and analyse the effects of balance bike exercise on vestibular function,tactile defence function,proprioceptive function,body shape and physical fitness in 4-5 year old children.The study found that a more systematic balance bike exercise could improve the vestibular,tactile defence and proprioceptive functions in the sensory integration of 4-5 year old children.In terms of the types of disorders,systematic balance bicycle exercise had a very significant effect on vestibular sensory disorders,tactile sensory disorders and proprioceptive disorders;during the experimental period,balance bicycle exercise did not have a significant effect on the physical morphological development of 4-5 year olds;balance bicycle exercise had a good effect on the agility,strength,coordination and balance of 4-5 year olds,but did not have a significant effect on the improvement of flexibility.Overall,the study reveals that systematic and scientific balance bicycle exercise has a good effect on the development of sensory integration skills in 4-5 year old male children and has a significant effect on the improvement of sensory integration disorders in4-5 year old male children.It is recommended that education on children’s sensory integration theory should be strengthened,parents and various educational institutions should pay more attention to the normal development of children’s sensory integration ability,and the examination and assessment of preschool children’s sensory integration ability should be strengthened;it is recommended that schools should incorporate balance bicycle sports into their special teaching,so as to cultivate children’s interest in sports and enable more children to use balance bicycles to promote overall physical and mental development;it is recommended that balance bicycle training institutions should Do a good job of building a team of professional trainers and organise outdoor rides,race activities and parent-child activities to improve the course content structure;suggest that balance bike trainers design more comprehensive teaching and training programmes and add more supplementary training to their courses to promote the overall improvement of children’s physical fitness.
