Research On National Recognition Cultivation For College Students In The New Era

National identity is the strong sense of emotional recognition,attachment and belonging held by the members of society to their nation.It is an important national consciousness which helps to maintain national stability and promote social development.If the young people of the country are strong,the country will undoubtedly be strong.College students are the backbone force of the young people,the new force of the intellectuals,the future of the country and the hope of the nation.Their sense of identity to their country is not only related to the better growth and development of themselves,but also directly related to the construction of the country,the development of the society and the revitalization of the nation.The new era brings college students more complicated international situation,more rapidly changing social environment,more diversified ways of information receiving and more convenient access to information.In addition,college students in the new era pursues diversified,personalized and liberalized sense of value which leads to some problems in the national identity of some college students.Therefore,under the new circumstance,it is of great significance to have research on the formation and the cultivation of the national identity of college students with the help of society,universities,families,peers and other parties in the new era.The study of national identity is based on the feasible logic system,including the theoretical logic of the concept of "national identity" in the marxist classics,the historical logic of "national identity" in Chinese excellent traditional culture,the practical logic of "national identity" shown in the Chinese communist patriotism and the realistic logic of Xi’s important discussion on youth national identity.Before having empirical analysis on college students’ national identity,it is necessary to clarify the elements of national identity cultivation in the new era,including the subject and object,content and goal of cultivation.On this basis,the empirical investigation is carried out in the form of questionnairing to explore college students’ views of national sovereignty and territory,the state system,the way of citizens to participate in state affairs,the attitude of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the understanding of the relationship between individuals and countries,the recognition of national development and the cognition of national identity education in colleges and universities in the new era.Through the investigation,it is found that the national identity in the new era is generally good,which is reflected in the strong awareness of safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity,the recognition of their national identity,and a clear understanding of the relationship between individuals and the state.But at the same time,some college students also have problems such as weak sense of national belonging,weak sense of national equality,and negative attitude to the transformation of national identity into practice.Based on the current status and the influential factors of national identity,multiple paths should be taken to achieve the purpose of the cultivation of college students’ national identity in the new era.To achieve this,we should take innovative ways to achieve theory popularization,establish "whole process" cultivation system in colleges and universities,make concerted efforts on the guidance of national identity,improve the survey and feedback system,build highly systematic,comprehensive,sustainable cultivation system.We can eventually help university students to hold firm national identity,to strengthen their patriotism,to set up ambition to strengthen our country and to take action to safeguard national security and interests and promote national development,to willingly sacrifice individual interests to achieve national and collective goals,and to tightly attach the personal development to the future and fate of the nation.
