In the context of the new curriculum reform,the compulsory education has been promoting the development of moral education and mental health.Although the government has promulgated the policy of local schooling for the children of migrant workers,due to the economic constraints of migrant workers,there are still many left-behind children in the countryside.Studies have found that the overall mental health of left-behind children is poor,especially the lack of positive mental quality of left-behind children.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the application research and practical intervention of social work in the cultivation of left-behind children’s positive psychological quality.Based on the analysis of the questionnaire of positive psychological quality and interview data,this paper finds that the left-behind children in w care activity station in Juancheng County have some problems of negative psychological quality,the main reasons are:lack of self-confidence,lack of leadership,weak ability of emotion control,and low willingness of communication.Therefore,based on the theory of dominance perspective and the theory of empowerment,this paper designs eight group activities from three levels of self-confidence,self-control and social intelligence,then,through learning the skills of emotion management and communication,we can achieve the goal of cultivating the positive psychological quality of the left-behind children.Finally,the process and results of this group ’s work were summarized and evaluated to test the effectiveness of the positive psychological quality of left-behind children.The author draws the following conclusions:First,the intervention of group work is helpful to cultivate the positive psychological quality and perfect the personality of Left-behind children in China;second,internal cause is an important way to cultivate the positive psychological quality of left-behind children.In addition,combined with the practice of the group work intervention left-behind children positive psychological quality training suggestions for the future social work intervention left-behind children related to mental health research.
