The problem of left-behind children is a social problem arising in the process of urbanization in China,which has a bearing on the overall situation of social stability and development in rural China.Academic research on left-behind children’s issues mainly focuses on the two major fields of pedagogy and psychology,and relatively speaking,there is still a lot of room for social work research on the parent-child relationship of left-behind children.In the existing research on the parent-child relationship of left-behind children,most of them are theoretical discussions,such as the causes of left-behind children,the definition of types,the advantages and disadvantages of the problem of parent-child relationship between left-behind children,etc.,but it is still a new field to intervene in improving the parent-child relationship of left-behind children from the perspective of social work practice.Through the needs survey and assessment of left-behind children in LH area,it was found that there were different degrees of parent-child relationship problems,and the article was guided by systematic theory,mainly qualitative research methods,supplemented by quantitative research methods,focusing on group working methods to intervene in the parentchild relationship problems of left-behind children for practical research.Combined with the characteristics of the living environment of left-behind children,on the basis of the assessment and analysis of the current situation and causes of their parent-child relationship,the article intervened in group work for 10 school-age left-behind children with parent-child relationship problems in LH district,and through 6 professional group activities,from storytelling and experience sharing to resource linking multi-party system resources,aiming to improve the problem of parent-child relationship between left-behind children and give full play to the professional role and value of social work.Through group work,this study intervenes in the parent-child relationship of left-behind children,enriches the social work practice research in the field of left-behind children’s parent-child relationship,conducts specific scene practice and examination of relevant theories,and effectively improves the quality of left-behind children’s parent-child relationship and the effectiveness of social work practical services.Before the group work is carried out,the questionnaire method and the semi-structured interview method are used to investigate the current situation of the parent-child relationship of left-behind children and the needs assessment,and the group goals and activity design are established;the group work practice is carried out in the medium term,and the service plan is adjusted in time after the evaluation effect;the effect evaluation is completed in the later stage,and the effect evaluation is completed by the before and after test comparison,the feedback form and the conversation of the team members,and finally the summary and reflection are summarized.The study found that the group work involved in the parent-child relationship of leftbehind children has certain results: first,the opportunity for parent-child interaction is increased,and social work acts as a glue between left-behind children and their parents;the other is that the organizational form of group work can meet the needs of children for peers,the form of group work is in line with the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development,and the wide coverage of group work services is conducive to improving the efficiency of social work services.Third,social work intervention in the parent-child relationship of left-behind children has effectively made up for the lack of intervention in the improvement of the parent-child relationship of left-behind children from the practical level,the parent-child relationship of left-behind children has been better improved,the ability of interpersonal interaction has been greatly improved,and the sense of self-worth of left-behind children has also been significantly improved.In the process of group development,local group games have played an important role,providing a carrier for the smooth development of group activities,stimulating the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of group members to participate in group activities,and making group activities effective.
