As a result of the development of the times,the group of left behind children has been highly concerned by all circles of society,and the research on the left behind children has continued unabated.In the past,the research on left behind children mainly focused on "intellectual education" and "moral education",while the focus of the study was "the problem" is the negative side.Recent studies show that left behind children also have positive qualities.With Martin Seligman as the representative of the western positive psychologists advocate the positive factors focus on the research on the psychological phenomenon that psychology,to treat people with inherent mentality(including psychological problems),to stimulate people’s internal positive power and excellent quality.Therefore,it is of practical significance to integrate the training theory of positive personality traits into the cultivation of the moral character of the left behind children in positive psychology.On the basis of previous studies,this paper has compiled the basic information questionnaire for children left behind,and learned from Professor Meng Wanjin’s "Quality and Positive Quality of Chinese Primary and Middle School Students",Professor Ma Yanling’s "Evaluation Index System of Primary and Secondary School Students’ Moral Indicators".This paper discusses the relationship between moral quality and positive psychological quality of children left behind in rural areas by studying the children in Grade 4,Grade 5 and Grade 6 of Xushan County,Nanchong City,and draws the following conclusions:First,the difference between the left-behind children and the non-left-behind moral qualities and positive psychological qualities is not statistically significant,but there are differences in individual development.Second,the moral quality and positive psychological quality of left-behind children were different in gender variables and grade variables,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant at 0.05 level.Thirdly,the difference between the moral quality and the positive psychological quality of the left-behind children is not statistically significant at the guardian ’s cultural level.Fourthly,the wisdom and knowledge dimension,the brave dimension,the human dimension(the dimension)dimension,the fair dimension and the moderation dimension are obviously related to the moral quality and the positive psychological quality.Self-esteem,civilized and healthy;honor their parents,respect for the teachers,courteous to others;love the collective,the unity of students;pay attention to life,pay attention to safety,self-Love nature,love the living environment is significantly related.Summary: The development of rural children’s moral quality and positive psychological quality is relevant,and overall,the difference between the moral and positive psychological qualities of left-behind children and non-left-behind children is not statistically significant.
