With the increasing severity of population aging in China,it is urgent to actively respond to it.The elderly are a good resource that can be explored, but the traditional view of aging regards them as being served and overlooks their value and creativity.In2002,the World Health Organization proposed "active aging",which refers to the process of improving the quality of life and maximizing opportunities for health, participation, and security when people reach old age.It advocates a positive perspective on elderly people, encourages them to participate in society, and realizes their self-worth.Community elderly volunteer service is an important way for elderly people to participate in society, but currently, community elderly volunteer service in China is still in its initial development and there are many problems. The professional theories, values, and work methods of social work can provide guidance for community elderly volunteer services, help solve their existing problems, and promote the development of community elderly volunteer services.Health, participation, and security are the three pillars of active aging, with participation as the core.Applying the concept of active aging to community elderly volunteer services aims to improve the health level of elderly volunteers, provide various support and guarantees for their participation in community volunteer services, and promote their better participation in society and achieve active aging. Therefore, from the perspective of active aging, taking community elderly volunteer service as the research content, and taking G community in Jingzhou City as an example, the article uses interview, questionnaire survey, and participatory observation to investigate the status of elderly volunteer service in G community from three aspects: service subject, service itself, and service management, and understand the "health" and "participation" of elderly volunteers,There is also a "guarantee" situation for elderly volunteers to participate in community volunteer services, and the following problems have been found: in terms of service subjects, elderly volunteers lack the health conditions, willingness to participate, and service ability to participate in volunteer services; In terms of service itself, there are problems with elderly volunteer services, such as lack of service opportunities, single service types, lack of service support, insufficient service promotion, lack of service training, average service effectiveness, and lack of service evaluation; In terms of service management, there are problems with the lack of service incentives, service organizations, and management systems in elderly volunteer services. In order to solve the problems existing in community elderly volunteer services, social workers have carried out the following practices in G community based on the theory of active aging and empowerment: in terms of service subjects, they mainly enhance the participation willingness and service ability of elderly volunteers through the development of elderly volunteer service ability improvement groups, and also improve the health level of elderly volunteers through community free clinic activities and mental health lectures; In terms of service itself,it is mainly through guiding elderly volunteers to plan and carry out diverse and effective elderly volunteer service activities to improve the quantity and quality of elderly volunteer services; In terms of service management, the management level of elderly volunteer services is mainly improved by improving management systems and establishing elderly volunteer service organizations. Finally, the intervention of social work in community elderly volunteer services has achieved certain results. The article summarizes the entire process of social work intervention, summarizes the feasible paths and methods of social work intervention in community elderly volunteer services, reflects on the shortcomings of social work intervention in community elderly volunteer services, and puts forward corresponding suggestions. It is expected to help promote the development of community elderly volunteer services and the realization of active aging. |
