| The application of physics history in teaching has attracted increasing attention from researchers and frontline teachers both domestically and internationally.The high school physics curriculum standards in China also put forward relevant content and teaching requirements for physics history.The theoretical and empirical research on the role and value of the history of physics has verified the important role of the history of physics in cultivating students’ scientific attitudes and thinking.This study starts with the current application status to understand the application of physics history in specific teaching.The text analysis method was used to conduct statistical analysis on the content of physics history in the People’s Education Press textbooks,the relevant content requirements for physics history in the curriculum standards,and the real physics questions in the physics level and qualification exams of ordinary high schools in Tianjin in the past five years.Furthermore,through interviews and questionnaire surveys,the specific situation and difficulties encountered by some high school physics teachers in Tianjin in applying physics history were investigated,and corresponding improvement suggestions were proposed based on this.Through investigation,it was found that teachers are generally aware of the importance of the history of physics,but there are still the following problems in teaching: limited by their own knowledge structure,some teachers’ understanding of the history of physics is not deep enough;The presentation of physics history in textbooks is not systematic and comprehensive enough;The education examination system lacks support for the application of physics history.In order to better apply the history of physics in teaching and leverage its educational value,corresponding improvement suggestions are proposed to address the existing problems.In terms of textbook writing,it is necessary to strengthen the connection and systematization of the content of the history of physics;In terms of teachers,they should enrich their knowledge structure,change their attitudes,and strengthen relevant training for teachers with different educational backgrounds;In terms of the examination system,the examination of the history of physics should be increased to guide students to learn and explore. |
