Research On Group Work To Improve The Adaptability Of New Elderly Women In Elderly Care Institutions ——Taking H Institution As An Example

According to the data of the seventh national census,the aging trend of China’s population is deepening,and the average life expectancy of men is shorter than that of women due to men’s preference for tobacco and alcohol and great pressure in life,so the number of elderly women in China is higher than that of elderly men.However,influenced by the traditional idea of "men take care of the outside world and women take care of the home" and the physiological particularity of women,the economic status of elderly women is low,and the risk of disease is higher,and they are more likely to be treated differently and ignored by the society.As the main institutional pension for the elderly women,whether to have the ability to adapt to the familiar home environment to the alien and institutional transformation in life without control,and they produced in the process of the shift of the negative psychological feelings and potential of various adaptation,for their high quality,contented in later life have a significant impact.Based on H endowment agencies in Shenyang as an example,the research object as check-in time 0 to 3 months of 66-78-year-old woman to the old,the integrated use of field observation method,interview method and questionnaire survey and other professional research methods,analysis of older women in the process of adapting mechanism life problems,embodied in: physiological sleep,diet don’t adapt to;Emotional anxiety,economic and female security insecurity;Difficulties in interpersonal relationships and inadaptability to the institutional environment.The author uses social gender theory and social support theory to explore the deep causes of elderly women’s inadequate ability to adapt to institutional life,and fully combines the professional methods of group social work to explore the measures and countermeasures to cope with their inadequate ability to adapt.The innovation point of this paper is to refine the research object from "new elderly residents in pension institutions" to a more targeted "new elderly women in pension institutions",which provides a new research idea for the related research of female pension services.By changing the old women’s understanding and definition of the traditional concept of "home" and reconstructing the "institution home",they can help them to regard the institution as another home other than the "entity home",enhance the sense of belonging of the elderly women in the institution,and then improve their adaptability through their own adjustment.The disadvantages are that the research objects are different,and the professional methods of group social work may not be applicable to all elderly women,so this study still has some limitations in terms of representativeness.
