A Study On Influencing Factors Of Returning Employment Intention Of Migrant Workers In Changyuan City

The year 2023 is the opening year of the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the 20 th Party Congress.The report of the 20 th Congress points out that we should promote the revitalization of the countryside as a whole,and in the future development,we should focus on the rural areas,release the dividends of rural development,promote the integration of urban and rural development,so that all people can share the fruits of development.Migrant workers are the most powerful,direct and energetic kind of mobile factor connecting urban and rural areas,and they play an important role in driving farmers to increase their income and promoting rural development that cannot be ignored.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the willingness of migrant workers to return to their hometowns and the factors influencing their return to their hometowns to develop county economy and promote rural revitalization.Taking migrant workers in Changyuan City as the research object,this paper makes a descriptive analysis of migrant workers in Changyuan City by defining the concepts of returning migrant workers and their employment,and based on relevant theories at home and abroad,and carries out a questionnaire survey on the willingness of migrant workers in Changyuan City to return to their hometown and influencing factors.Binary logistic regression analysis was used to analyze four indicators,namely basic status,family status,work status and willingness to return to work,to examine the influence of each factor on the willingness of migrant workers in Changwon City to return to work.The results show that several factors,such as age,health condition,education level,concern for hometown,family financial burden,average monthly income and work intensity,have significant effects on migrant workers’ willingness to return home.Based on the actual situation of economic development in Changwon City,and the empirical study,we tried to propose localized and rationalized countermeasures and suggestions to promote the employment of migrant workers returning to their hometowns in Changwon City in four aspects:developing county economy,government policy support,improving migrant workers’ own ability and protecting the rights and interests of migrant workers returning to their hometowns.
