Study On Influencing Factors Of Peasant Workers’ Willingness To Return To Hometown From The Perspective Of Intergeneration

The policy of reform and opening up has made the urbanization construction of our country advance steadily,and because of the continuous improvement of the economic system,a large number of rural labor force has poured into the city,forming a rather spectacular wave of migrant workers.However,with the migration of time,the total growth rate of migrant workers in China began to decline.These migrant workers who migrated to cities are limited by historical factors and urban-rural structure.They are not ideal in urban adaptability and urban integration.They are faced with many practical problems,such as employment discrimination,education inequality,social security and so on.At this time,the rural areas are facing the shortage of young labor force,left behind children in rural areas and the aging of rural population.In addition,the proportion of the new generation of migrant workers in the labor market is increasing day by day.Compared with the old generation of migrant workers,different living habits and social environment cause the intergenerational differences between them.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that to implement the strategy of rural revitalization,one of the key problems to be solved is how to effectively guide migrant workers to return home.Taking this as the background,it is of great theoretical and practical significance for rural economic and social development to study the factors influencing the willingness of migrant workers of different generations to return home in a certain region.In this paper,Taiyuan city is selected as the research area to explore the influencing factors and degree of the two generations of migrant workers’ willingness to return home.First of all,through sorting out the relevant literature and theories about labor migration at home and abroad,and combining with the statistical data of migrant workers in Taiyuan City,this paper analyzes and finds out the factors that may affect the willingness of two generations of migrant workers to return home,and designs a questionnaire based on these factors.Then,according to the data from the field survey,a binary logistic regression model is established.The analysis results show that most of the hypotheses in this paper can be verified except a few factors fail to pass the significance test.Finally,according to the analysis of the actual situation and conclusions of this study,this paper puts forward the policy suggestions to effectively guide migrant workers to return home.
