| The General High School Language Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)includes "contemporary cultural participation" as one of the mandatory language learning task clusters in the high school language curriculum.This task group requires students to pay attention to and actively participate in contemporary cultural life,emphasizes language practice activities through rich language learning methods,encourages students to learn language in life,and assess cultural phenomena in reading,communication,writing and expression,which is of great significance in changing students’ learning styles and promoting the new curriculum reform.However,in actual teaching,the implementation of "contemporary cultural participation" is not satisfactory.In order to change the current situation,the author starts from the connotation and characteristics of this task group,combines the problems in the implementation process of this task group,and proposes corresponding teaching implementation strategies,aiming to improve the implementation path and design methods of "contemporary cultural participation" for front-line teachers.This paper focuses on the following aspects of the study.The introductory part mainly describes the origin,significance,current status,theoretical basis,research ideas,and research methods of the selected topic.The first chapter explains the connotation of the task group based on the components of "contemporary cultural participation",and summarizes the characteristics and teaching values of "contemporary cultural participation" on this basis.In the second chapter,the author conducts questionnaires and interviews to summarize the problems and causes in the implementation of"contemporary cultural participation": teachers’ ambiguous teaching objectives,teachers’ lack of awareness of activity development,teachers’ lack of effective guidance for students,teachers’ failure to update their evaluation concepts,and students’ low motivation to participate in activities.In Chapter 3,the author proposes targeted strategies to solve the current problems in teaching "contemporary cultural participation",mainly from five aspects: clarifying teaching objectives,developing activity themes,creating activity contexts,providing learning support and updating evaluation concepts.In Chapter 4,the author designed two teaching activities,"The City on the Tip of the Tongue" and "Who’s Who in the City",based on the activities of the unit "Cultural Life of the Hometown" in the first book of the compulsory Unified Language Teaching Kit and the cultural resources of Taizhou."These two teaching activities can be used for teachers to carry out the activities.These two teaching activities can provide reference for teachers to carry out the "Contemporary Cultural Participation" task group or the "Cultural Life in Hometown" unit. |
