General Secretary Xi Jin ping stressed at the symposium on the work of philosophy and social sciences that "adherence to the problem orientation is the distinctive feature of Marxism.Questions are the starting point of innovation and the power source of innovation as well." The General High School Ideology and Politics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020)clearly requires respecting the laws of physical and mental development of students,of students,improving teaching methods,focusing on problem solving in curriculum design and building an activity-based subject curriculum that is led by cultivating core literacy in ideology and politics.Continuously promote the reform and innovation of teaching methods in high school ideology and politics class,which is the inevitable requirements to adapt to the development of the new era and the new curriculum reform.The "problem chain"teaching method refers to a new teaching method in which the teacher sets the teaching content according to the teaching objectives,which with problems as the link,knowledge formation and development and cultivation of students’ thinking ability as the main lines,and teacher-student cooperation and interaction as the basic form.This teaching method is in line with the attributes of the high school ideology and politics curriculum,but also contributes to the cultivation of students’ critical thinking,the professional development of teachers and the enhancement of teaching effectiveness.As a new teaching method,the "problem chain" is favoured by teachers of senior secondary thought and politics,and welcomed by students,and has achieved some success in the process of application.However,due to the low level of participation of the student body in the lesson,the teacher’s lack of ability to manage the ’question chain’ and the lack of resources for the "question chain",the application of the "question chain" has resulted in the low motivation of students to participate in the class,the inadequate application of the "question chain" by teachers and the difficulty of developing the"question chain" resources."To a certain extent,which has affected the effectiveness of the "problem chain" teaching method in high school ideology and politics classroom teaching.On the basis of the analysis of the problems and causes in the teaching of "problem chains",the following strategies are proposed for the optimization of the application of the "problem chain" teaching method : Firstly,the students are the main body,the students’ learning guidance is strengthened and the "problem chain" is optimized.students’ learning guidance is strengthened and the "problem chain" is optimised.The first is to take students as the main body,strengthen the guidance for students’ learning and optimized the application of "problem chains",so as to stimulate students’ awareness of participation.The second is to change the teachers’ concept of teaching,which starts with the subject of implementation establish a correct awareness of "problem chains",strengthening theoretical studies and improving the application of "problem chains" by teachers.Finally,in terms of the external environment,the relevant departments of the school should develop appropriate mechanisms,establish a resource development platform,promote the sharing of quality resources,and actively guide the participation of teachers and students.In order to encourage teachers to teach with enthusiasm and students to learn with interest,and to help improve the quality and efficiency of teaching and learning in high school Civics.In accordance with the idea of "problem identification-problem analysis-problem solving",the second frame of lesson 12,"Value Judgement and Value Choice",in the fourth unit of the compulsory high school ideology and politics "Philosophy and Culture",is used as an example to design an example of the application of "problem chain",which provides a complete reference for the application of the "problem chain" teaching method in high school ideology and politics,in order to clarify the process of implementing the "problem chain" teaching method and its application effect.
