In recent years,advances in cancer treatment have been made,but compared with the annual rise in cancer incidence and mortality,medical development and related rese arch still face many difficulties and challenges.According to statistics,the number of new cancer cases in China is about 3.8 million every year,and the overall incidence of cancer is increasing at a rate of 3.9 percent a year.The initial symptoms of cancer are not obvious,and most patients are in the advanced stage of cancer when they are diagnosed.In China,the care of cancer patients is mainly borne by the family.The careg ivers of cancer patients play a key role in nursing patients,and they also bear the dual physical and psychological pressure.Caregivers are faced with economic pressure,physical and mental fatigue,self-loss,and repeated patient conditions during the care of patients.Caregivers of cancer patients are prone to expected sadness under the combine d action of continuous high load care and stress.Previous studies have shown that adequate social support can effectively reduce the expected sadness of caregivers,which is based on the study of medicine and nursing.However,at present,there is a lack of practical exploration on the prospective sadness of the customer through the combination of theory and practice from the perspective of social work.Based on this,this study was conducted with eight caregivers of cancer patients in L Cancer Hospital to investigate the effect of support group interventions on caregivers’anticipatory grief from a social work perspective and based on the theory of "social support" through five sessions of group activities.At the beginning of the study,the Chinese version of the Anticipatory Grief Scale was used to understand the anticipatory grief of caregivers of cancer patients.The survey found that the anticipatory grief of the group members belonged to the moderate to high level of grief,which was characterized by feelings of loss,sadness,anxiety,guilt,low evaluation of ability to complete tasks,irritability and anger.After analysis,it was concluded that the main reason for the low evaluation of the ability to complete tasks was the lack of nursing skills;the main reason for the sense of loss was the fear of death;sadness,anxiety,guilt and other mainly the lack of emotional coping methods and the patient’s emotional stimulation(complaining and not understanding);based on the above analysis,caregivers were provided with nursing knowledge,death exploration,emotional Based on the above analysis,caregivers were provided with nursing knowledge,death exploration,emotional relief,and family support services it is essential to provide caregivers with multifaceted services.It was found that support group work has a significant effect on reducing anticipatory sadness of caregivers of cancer patients,and support group could effectively improve the social support utilization of group members.It can help caregivers establish intra-group mutual support,medical support,social work support,psychological support and family support,caregivers can effectively use the support system around them,and then improve their own social support system.Research shows that group activities can help caregivers acquire nursing skills,correctly view death,relieve emotions,and enhance emotional connection,which has positive significance to enrich caregivers’ nursing life,reduce caregivers’ antipathetic sadness to a certain extent,and improve their quality of life.
