| In recent years,as China’s modernization process continues to advance,"intergenerational parenting" has become a common phenomenon in the social transition period.Intergenerational parenting not only reduces the family financial burden of the younger generation of parents, but also satisfies to a certain extent the grandparents’ wish of a better life of "three generations together" and "having grandchildren".However, due to the different life experiences of grandparents and fathers, there are differences or contradictions in parenting concepts, and grandparents may have low self-esteem,cognitive bias, social difficulties, and inconsistency, which affect the positive development of family relationships. This study focuses on the psychological dilemmas of grandparents in intergenerational parenting families.Following the professional concept of social work,a systematic literature review and analysis were conducted to find scientific evidence for intervention, and field research was conducted to explore the current situation and causes of psychological dilemmas in intergenerational parenting families.Using the techniques of "genealogical mapping","meditation" and "family sculpture",and using cognitive,self-esteem,social and emotional coping skills as mediating factors, and psychological distress relief as the outcome variable,we conducted a study on the psychological distress of this intergenerational foster family.A six-month intervention was conducted with the grandparents and their families in this intergenerational family. The results of this study showed that the grandparents in the intergenerational foster family improved their behaviors and attitudes, dealt with family conflicts rationally, recognized the importance of good family rules for the family, restored a positive communication style in the family, practiced new family rules, and eventually relieved their psychological distress. In conclusion, the application of the Sativa family therapy model to intergenerational foster families is a fruitful study of a local social work model intervention, which not only helps to relieve the psychological difficulties of the clients and reduce family tensions, but also improves the ability of intergenerational foster families to resist the same risks. This study also provides scientific and empirical evidence for social work professional interventions on the mental health of grandparents in intergenerational care families. |
