| As urbanization continues to accelerate, the number of elderly people left behind in rural areas is increasing. The psychological worries brought about by physical aging, the loneliness caused by the lack of children’s care, and the fear of diseases lead to the leftbehind elderly being more prone to health anxiety. This not only affects the physical and mental health of the left-behind elderly, but also seriously affects their quality of life, which requires attention and response from the government and society. This study takes Village D as an example, and uses group work methods based on cognitive-behavioral theory, social support theory and dominant perspective theory to intervene in the health anxiety problem of the elderly left behind in Village D.The study concluded that the health anxiety of the left-behind elderly was mainly reflected in "cognitive bias about the danger of somatic symptoms" "tendency to enlarge the disease" "lack of objective knowledge about normal somatic aging" and so on."The reasons for this are"loneliness, helplessness and other negative emotions" "imperfect social support network"and "lack of recreational activities".To solve their health anxiety problems,we need to start from "correcting cognitive bias" "improving social support network" and "enriching social recreational life".To this end, this study organized a health anxiety relief group for the leftbehind elderly and carried out activities such as "sharing life to understand health anxiety""mutual help and cooperation to relieve health anxiety" and "adjusting mentality to laugh at health anxiety".By organizing activities such as "sharing life to understand health anxiety""mutual help and cooperation to relieve health anxiety" and "adjusting mind, laughing at health anxiety" the study guided the left-behind elderly to correct cognitive biases, improve support networks, enrich leisure life, and relieve health anxiety, and achieved satisfactory results. This study also provides some discussion on the methods and strategies of group work interventions for rural left-behind elderly people with health anxiety problems. The study concluded that group work intervention is feasible to alleviate the health anxiety of rural leftbehind elderly. The ways to alleviate the health anxiety of rural elderly left behind are to popularize the knowledge of somatic aging and health anxiety,to create positive interactions among group members, and to establish a mechanism for recreational activities. |
