The ideological and political course is the key course to implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people,and the moral and legal course is the ideological and political course in the compulsory education stage.The course of morality and the rule of law not only has the important function of cultivating souls and educating people,but also is an important course to help teenagers improve their ideological and political quality,moral cultivation,legal literacy,and personality cultivation.The "Curriculum Standards for Ethics and Rule of Law in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" secondary school industry quality standards take core literacy as the main dimension,and combine the content of this course to describe the achievement performance of students in different periods,providing a reference for teaching implementation and teaching evaluation reform.The traditional evaluation method based on pen and paper testing is difficult to effectively evaluate the changes in values and behavioral abilities of students in moral and rule of law teaching in junior high schools.As a performance evaluation focused on developing students’ core literacy,it is entrusted with the important mission of making up for the shortcomings of traditional pen and paper testing.Performance evaluation attempts to construct a real or simulated real life situation,designing a series of performance tasks to observe students’ abilities in completing tasks,and paying more attention to the development of students’ high-level thinking abilities such as problem-solving,communication,collaboration,and innovation in real situations.As a truthful teaching evaluation method,performance evaluation can evaluate the development level of students’ core literacy in moral and rule of law classroom teaching in junior high schools.Its evaluation results can provide improvement strategies for teachers’ teaching,help students improve their learning,and promote the integration of knowledge and action.This study starts from the perspective of students’ core literacy development and combines the academic quality standards of junior high school students to conduct a multi-angle analysis of the specific application of performance evaluation in junior high school moral and rule of law teaching,so as to provide ideas for front-line junior high school moral and rule of law teachers on how to use performance evaluation in teaching.In addition to the introduction,the text is divided into three parts.The first part summarizes the relevant content of performance evaluation,defines its concept,summarizes the elements contained in performance evaluation,explains its characteristics,and combines the role of performance evaluation in moral and rule of law teaching in junior high schools to refine the appropriateness of using performance evaluation in teaching.The second part comprehensively analyzes the current situation of the application of performance evaluation in moral and rule of law teaching in junior high schools.Using questionnaires,interviews,and classroom observations,with front-line junior high school moral and rule of law teachers and students as the survey objects,it was found that there are some problems in the application of performance evaluation in junior high school moral and rule of law teaching,such as deviation in basic understanding,lack of standardization in the implementation process,relatively single evaluation subject,and insufficient effectiveness of evaluation feedback.The corresponding problems were analyzed,mainly manifested in teachers,students The implementation of schools and performance evaluation itself is difficult at four levels.The third part describes the implementation path of performance evaluation in moral and rule of law teaching in junior high schools,suggestions for improving the effectiveness of the application of performance evaluation,and implementation of specific lesson examples.This is also the core part of this paper.According to the core three elements of performance evaluation(goals,tasks,and rules),and in combination with the new curriculum standards for junior high school ethics and the rule of law,four implementation strategies have been designed,including refining performance goals focused on accomplishment achievement,designing performance tasks based on real situation support,developing scoring rules to promote learning advancement,and adjusting the implementation process of performance evaluation.These strategies have been specifically applied to junior high school ethics and the rule of law teaching examples.
