The "Development and promotion of thinking" in the core qualities of Chinese discipline,points out the training direction of students’ thinking ability and quality.At the same time,the learning task group of "speculative reading and expression" set in the new curriculum standard requires attention to the cultivation of students’ critical thinking ability.As the focus of literature text reading in the college entrance examination,novels have been emphasized in the examination of students’ critical thinking ability and thinking quality in recent years,Which indicates the importance of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability in the teaching of novels.But there are still some problems in high school novel reading teaching,such as routinization,stylization and mechanization,which makes students’ novel reading in a superficial state,which is not conducive to the improvement of students’ thinking ability and reading ability.The novel itself has certain speculative characteristics and speculative connotation,so it is feasible to apply the speculative reading method in high school novel teaching.The speculative reading of novels is conducive to improving the students’ deep reading appreciation and cultivating the key ability of answering questions.Based on the stylistic features of novels and the thinking characteristics of high school students,this paper studies speculative reading into the teaching of novels.Based on the problems existing in front-line teaching practice,this paper discusses the implementation strategies of speculative reading method in high school novel teaching around the novel texts of the compulsory textbooks of the unified edition,in order to provide a way of thinking for improving the problems faced by high school novel reading teaching.This thesis is divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly expounds the research background and significance,research status,research content and research methods.The first chapter is a brief overview of the concept and characteristics of speculative reading,and discusses the significance and feasibility of the application of speculative reading in high school novel teaching.The second chapter,through the form of questionnaire and interview,understands the development of students’ critical thinking ability in the teaching of high school novels,summarizes the existing problems and analyzes the causes of these problems.The third chapter mainly aims at the existing problems of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning in the current novel teaching,taking the novel text of the unified edition of high school compulsory textbooks as an example,to explore the implementation strategies of how to effectively apply the speculative reading method in the high school novel teaching.The fourth chapter is the practice and reflection of the application of speculative reading in the teaching of novels.This paper analyzes and reflects on the famous teacher’s lesson of "Lin Tou Fengxue Mountain Temple" in Unit 6 of the second volume of compulsory courses,and takes "The Man in the Suit" as an example to make teaching design around how to use speculative reading method.
