In order to reduce students’ learning burden,improve the quality of schooling,and implement the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and cultivating people,on July 24,2021,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and Off-campus Training for Students in the Stage of Compulsory Education.As one of the means to actively respond to this policy,after-school extended sports services are deeply loved by students and welcomed by parents.However,due to the short implementation time,there are still many problems in the implementation process,and it is also limited by funding,venue,teachers and other aspects.Based on this,this paper uses questionnaire survey method,interview method,field investigation method,mathematical statistics and other methods to study the development status of after-school delayed sports services in Fuyang junior high schools,understand the development status and existing problems of after-school delayed sports services in Fuyang junior high schools,and propose a way to optimize the development of after-school delayed sports services in junior high schools.The results of the research show that the problems of after-school delayed sports services in junior high schools include:(1)lack of corresponding rules and regulations,and weak supervision;(2)The frequency of after-school delayed sports services in schools is low,and the activities are relatively single,lacking diversity;(3)Insufficient teachers and equipment venues,restrictions on the development of after-school delayed sports services,many students participating in sports services,few teachers,and a large ratio of teachers and students;(4)lack of activity funds to meet the development needs;(5)The number of competitions organized is small,and the intensity of classroom exercise is low;(6)Parents do not have a deep understanding of after-school delayed sports services,and some parents are biased.Based on domestic and foreign experience,this paper proposes the following ways to improve the quality of after-school delayed sports services in junior high schools:(1)improve the corresponding rules and regulations to provide institutional guarantees for the development of after-school delayed sports services,and at the same time strengthen supervision led by government departments;(2)Make full use of campus conditions and existing equipment to develop sports projects,and at the same time introduce external forces,increase the content and frequency of activities,and strive to create "one school,one product";(3)Build a platform for middle schools and colleges and universities,realize school-school cooperation,and make good use of public sports venues around schools;(4)Broaden the channels of funding sources,increase the investment of funds,and ensure the normal development of after-school delayed sports services through alumni or social donations;(5)Implement the policy of "church,diligent practice,and regular competition",implement the integrated teaching mode of "learning and training",and enhance the intensity of classroom sports;(6)Strengthen the publicity of after-school delayed sports services,and deepen students’ and parents’ knowledge and understanding of after-school delayed sports services.
