In 2014,the Ministry of Education put forward the requirement of developing a core literacy system for students,and a wide range of educational research and exploration has been carried out in various disciplines with "core literacy" as the cultivation goals.In the process of exploring efficient teaching models,the BOPPPS teaching model has received attention and application promotion both domestically and internationally due to its participatory learning concept,compact structure,clear objectives,and timely feedback advantages.This study attempts to use the BOPPPS model as the basic teaching framework,with the cultivation of physics core literacy as the teaching goal,to develop and apply high school teaching cases.The aim is to effectively improve students’ physics core literacy through teaching practice,while providing front-line physics teachers with some teaching frameworks and ideas that can be referenced.This study used questionnaires,interviews,and classroom observations to fully understand the teaching status of high school physics classes and the level of students’ physics core literacy.Based on relevant literature and survey results,teaching strategies for cultivating high school physics core literacy using the BOPPPS model were proposed,then effective teaching strategies were used to design and develop teaching cases.In the one-semester teaching practice,the experimental group students used the BOPPPS model for the cultivation of physics core literacy in classroom teaching,while the control group students still used traditional teaching.At the end of the semester,the existing development level of physics core literacy of the experimental and control groups were analyzed and compared through questionnaire surveys,and the teaching practice effect was summarized by combining the scores before and after the two groups of students.At the same time,interviews were conducted to understand the attitudes and opinions of the experimental group students towards the BOPPPS model,and to listen to their suggestions for improvement,in order to refine and improve the teaching cases.After one semester of teaching practice,both groups of students showed a certain degree of improvement in the level of physics core literacy However,the experimental group students had significantly higher learning achievements and their level of physics core literacy than the control group.Meanwhile,the experimental group students expressed high recognition of the BOPPPS model,and their interest in physics learning,initiative,and classroom participation showed a significant improvement.The research results show that the BOPPPS model can effectively improve the quality and efficiency of physics teaching,and is an efficient teaching model for cultivating students’ physics core literacy.Teaching with the BOPPPS model targeted at physics core literacy can increase students’ autonomy and initiative in learning physics,and help improve their overall literacy and abilities.
