Local feelings are the spiritual source for rural teachers to stick to rural education.The new generation of rural teachers is the new force of rural education and rural revitalization.Through research,this study investigated and understood the current situation of the new generation of rural teachers’ local feelings,analyzed the existing problems and causes,and proposed the cultivation paths.The study firstly analyzes the concept,structure and value of the local feelings,proposes it includes four first-level dimensions,local awareness,local identity,local adaptation and local reconstruction.Secondly,through the survey of 3688 New generation rural teachers,the results show that the overall level of local feelings is middle.The four first-level dimensions: local reconstruction,local adaptation,local identity,local consciousness.Among the eight secondary dimensions,they are at the medium level.They are different in gender,age,marriage and childbearing status,teaching age,teacher status,professional title,location of teaching school,category of teaching school,monthly income and other aspects.The main reasons are the lack of teachers’ self-education,the long-term absence of education,the implementation of policies,the rapid transformation of society,the reconstruction of relations and the imperfect social support system.There are five ways to cultivate the local feelings.First,teachers should strengthen their mission responsibility.Strengthen the sense of responsibility,revitalize rural education;Set career goals and make development plans.Second,colleges and universities should take various measures to enhance local identity: set up local courses to promote cultural identity;Understand local culture and enhance emotional experience.Third,rural schools should carry out local education,strengthen local awareness: pay attention to training,integrate local elements;Strengthen publicity and enrich training resources.Fourth,government should improve the four mechanisms and external support: implement policies and strengthen the support mechanism;Strengthen the function,perfect the guarantee mechanism;Strengthen construction and develop training mechanism;Comply with the requirements of The Times,improve the recruitment mechanism.Fifth,rural society should create a good environment,enhance local adaptation: improve living conditions,care for rural teachers;Create a good atmosphere,respect rural teachers.
