A Study On The Integration Of Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse On Heroes Into The Teaching Of Morality And Rule Of Law Classes In Middle School

Since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has spoken about heroes,praised them and encouraged the whole society to revere them and learn from them in many important speeches.At present,various ideological and cultural trends collide with each other,affecting the formation of students’ correct values and even deviating from their political positions.It is important to effectively integrate Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in junior high school to cultivate the new man of the times.The Curriculum Standards for Ethics and the Rule of Law in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)is guided by Xi Jinping’s Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse on Heroes is an important part of Xi Jinping’s Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.Therefore,this thesis conducts a study on the integration of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the teaching of junior high school "Ethics and the Rule of Law" curriculum,which is mainly focused on five parts: the first part is the introduction.What follows is a discussion of the main contents of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes.By sorting out and thoroughly reading the important discourses involving heroes in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speeches at important conferences,four aspects are outlined:first,the connotation of the heroic subject is clarified;second,the core essence of heroic traits is interpreted;third,the contemporary value of heroes is emphasized;and fourth,an all-round plan for the transmission of heroic spirit is proposed.Based on the previous part,the third part analyzes in depth the value of integrating Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the teaching of junior high school "morality and rule of law" class,including that it is conducive to thickening students’ patriotism,to practicing core socialist values,to promoting the expansion and grounding of junior high school "morality and rule of law" class knowledge,to implementing the fundamental task of establishing moral education,and to better tapping the Xi Jinping’s heroes on The fourth part is the contemporary value of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes.The fourth part is the current situation of the integration of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the teaching of junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law class,including the effectiveness of the integration,the problems and the causes of the problems.The results include some junior high school students’ higher awareness of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes and some teachers’ attempts to integrate Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the classroom;the problems are presented from four perspectives: integration content,students,teachers,and schools;the causes of the problems are analyzed from Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes itself and teachers themselves.The fifth part proposes the principles and strategies of integrating Xi Jinping’s important discourse on heroes into the teaching of Morality and the Rule of Law in junior high school.The integration strategies are presented from three perspectives: the effectiveness of the teaching content,students’ identification and action,and teachers’ ability to use it in the classroom.
