Labor education is an important element of the socialist education system with Chinese characteristics,and is an inevitable requirement for implementing the fundamental task of establishing moral education.The Party Central Committee has always attached great importance to labor education,especially since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of new understandings,new requirements,and new plans on labor and labor education.It is important to systematically sort out Xi Jinping’s important remarks on labor education since the 18 th CPC National Congress and clarify the essential requirements,main features and rich contents of Xi Jinping’s important remarks on labor education in the context of the new era,so as to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for better labor education,build people with labor,create a social atmosphere of respecting labor and loving labor,and cultivate new-age talents needed for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Labor education has always been an important topic of attention and discussion in the academic community at home and abroad,and a series of fruitful research results have been achieved.However,research results similar to the topic of this paper are mainly concentrated in the period after General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the National Education Conference,and the research is still in its initial stage and the research results are mostly published in newspapers and other propaganda journals,with insufficient theoretical discussions.This paper adopts a combination of literature research method,comparative research method,inductive generalization method,historical analysis method,etc.Under the theoretical perspective of Chinese Marxism,it follows Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education "why it was formed-what is the main content-what is the value-how to implement".-In this study,the core concepts,essential requirements,main features and other related issues of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education are explained,and the theoretical origin and practical basis of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education are analyzed in detail.It analyzes in detail the theoretical origin and practical basis of Xi Jinping’s important thesis on labor education,as well as its rich content and value significance,and analyzes the practical ways to implement Xi Jinping’s important thesis on labor education from four perspectives:family,school,society and individual.Specifically,the thesis consists of six chapters as follows:Chapter 1,Introduction.This section introduces the basis and significance of the thesis,the current situation of domestic and foreign research,research ideas and methods,and innovations and shortcomings,which constitute the logical starting point of the thesis research.Chapter 2,Explanation of Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse on Labor Education.This part mainly discusses the concepts of labor,labor education and labor values,and explains in detail the essential requirements of Xi Jinping’s discourse on labor education in four aspects,including shaping morality with labor,increasing intelligence with labor,strengthening the body with labor,and cultivating beauty with labor.Its main features include: topicality and innovation,process and wholeness,and nationalism and humanism.Chapter 3,theoretical resources and practical basis of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education.This part focuses on summarizing the theoretical resources of the thesis from three aspects,including classical Marxist labor education thought,Chinese Marxist labor education thought,and Chinese excellent traditional culture labor education thought,to lay the ideological and theoretical foundation for the subsequent chapters.The three aspects of promoting all-round development of human beings,coping with the phenomenon of dilution of labor education,and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation constitute its important practical basis.Chapter 4,the rich content of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education.This part mainly elaborates on five aspects: labor values,labor education,labor spirit,labor practice,and labor principles.Among them,the values of labor include: labor is the strong foundation of national development,the source of motivation for social progress,and the basic way to realize personal value.The concept of labor education includes: integrating labor education into the whole process of talent cultivation,through all school levels,and into all fields of family,school and society.The concept of labor spirit includes: the spirit of craftsmanship and the spirit of model workers.The concept of labor practice includes: to be a practitioner of hard work,honest work and creative work.The view of labor principles includes: adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party of China,reflecting the characteristics of the times and national features,and bringing into play the labor power of the people.Chapter 5,Value Implications of Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse on Labor Education.In this part,three aspects are considered and analyzed,including the value of the times,theoretical value and practical value.The value of the times includes the cultivation of high-quality workers to contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the reversion of the essence of labor education based on the requirements of the times.The theoretical value includes Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education,which is an innovation of Marxist labor doctrine,the inheritance and development of the traditional Chinese labor education concept,and the enrichment of the Communist Party of China’s labor education concept.The practical value includes three aspects: First,it reverses the marginalization of labor education in contemporary society.Second,it is a fundamental guideline for building a high-quality labor education system.Thirdly,it is to create a social culture that reveres labor and respects workers.Chapter 6,the practical rationale for implementing Xi Jinping’s important thesis on labor education.This part is divided into four areas.The first is to consolidate the basic role of family labor education,the second is to bring into play the main role of school labor education,the third is to focus on the supportive role of social labor education,and the fourth is to strengthen the endogenous role of self-labor education.In conclusion,through the systematic study of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education,the authors mainly put forward the following innovative ideas:First,they believe that the main features of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education can be summarized as: topicality and innovation,process and holistic,nationalism and humanism.Secondly,it is believed that the rich content of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education can be specifically divided into labor values,labor education,labor spirit,labor practice and labor principles.Third,it is believed that in the process of implementing Xi Jinping’s important discourse on labor education,it is necessary to "strengthen the endogenous role of self-labor education",with special emphasis on the subjective initiative of the educated.
