As a kind of spiritual quality,the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief is not only the concentrated display of a person’s feelings and ethics,but also the direct reflection of his value orientation,ideal and belief.General Secretary Xi has explained and stressed the great significance of fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief of the Chinese people on many occasions.Young people are the future of the motherland,the hope of the nation.Junior middle school is an important stage of adolescent physical and mental development,and also a turning point.Therefore,it is extremely necessary to foster the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief of the young people in junior middle school.The teaching of morality and rule of law in junior middle school is the main channel to foster the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief.Combined with the teaching content,fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief is related to the healthy growth of junior middle school students and the cultivation of new generation who will bear the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.The sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief in the identity as Chinese people can generally refer to "Three Qi"(the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief)of doing anything.The thesis focuses on fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief of students in junior middle school.The speech of General Secretary Xi lays more emphasis on enhancing the patriotic feelings,cultural confidence,ability and quality of students.First of all,the research is carried out around the relevant concepts of "Three Qi" and the teaching content of morality and rule of law in junior high school,so as to explore the relationship between the cultivation of "Three Qi" and the teaching.Secondly,the paper discusses the necessity of fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief from the perspective of the practical needs of encouraging students to grow and become talented and the internal requirements of fostering junior middle school students’ core qualities;Based on the compatibility of teaching objectives and the penetration of teaching content,the paper analyzes the feasibility of fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and selfbelief.Thirdly,through questionnaire method and daily observation method,the paper analyzes the problems and reasons of fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and selfbelief in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior middle school:students’ understanding of the "Three Qi" is in-comprehensive,the teaching effectiveness of fostering "Three Qi" is insufficient,and the evaluation system of fostering "Three Qi" is not perfect.Finally,the paper puts forward the principles and strategies of fostering the sense of purpose,fortitude and self-belief in the teaching of morality and rule of law in junior high school,so as to provide some theoretical guidance for teachers.
