With the rapid development of the transitional society,education,as the driving force for social development,has always been widely concerned by the whole society,and it has also promoted the continuous education reform with curriculum reform as the important content.In the report "Holding High the Great Banner of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Uniting and Striving to Build a Modern Socialist Country in an All-round Way" delivered at the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Xi Jinping proposed to do a good job in education that satisfies the people and build a learning-oriented lifelong learning model for all.society.The "Opinions on Strengthening the Construction and Application of Primary and Secondary School Libraries in the New Era" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2015 proposes to integrate the library with education and teaching comprehensively and deeply,and become a highland of school information resources,a center of wisdom for teachers and students,a center for growth,and an activity center,to boost the construction of a learning society.Primary and secondary school libraries deeply integrate teaching and build three centers,which combine teaching with fun in the form of themed activity courses,and integrate learning with fun.As a basic hotbed for cultivating lifelong learning awareness,it is also an important measure for building a learning society.This study is a case study on the development of the theme activity course of library organization and management,and takes the development of the theme activity course of library organization and management of Shanghai B school as the research object.School B has a teaching tradition of offering library courses and sets specific class hours,led by professional foreign teachers for systematic teaching,has formed a relatively mature library curriculum system.Organize rich activity courses on a daily basis,accumulate teaching experience comparable to other disciplines,and have richer activity course experience than other disciplines.The library of school B is responsible for the management and use of most teaching resources except teachers,coordinates the participation of teachers of various types in courses,and connects with third-party cooperative institutions,forming a unique library-centered theme activity course development and teaching system.This study mainly includes five parts.Through the analysis of the national education policy and the international background of the theme activity course,it is found that the development of the theme activity course organized by the library as the center is an important form of teaching activity.To implement the measures,individual schools in China have already carried out similar practices,but there are still many deficiencies,including insufficient professional ability of library teachers,slow update of educational resources,single types,lack of simultaneous research by teachers,and so on.Based on the school environment,the students’ needs were researched and analyzed,and the course objectives,course content and evaluation plan were determined.Through the joint lesson preparation,cooperation and communication,evaluation and reflection among the teams,the theme activity course implementation plan and course outline are formed,and the basic evaluation plan is simultaneously designed.Finally,taking the primary school students of school B as the teaching object,the paper and pen test,questionnaire survey and other methods were used to evaluate the students’ academic performance after class,to understand the effect of curriculum development and implementation,and to provide ideas for further improvement and perfection of the curriculum.Through the implementation of thematic activity courses,the school’s curriculum resources are efficiently integrated and the curriculum system structure is innovated.The student-centered themed activity course played the role of internal driving of students’ interest and achieved good course effects.Through cooperative development and teaching,the professional growth and development of teachers has been promoted,and the comprehensive education effect has also been enhanced.In the process of curriculum development,reflections for reference have also been triggered.Thematic activities can fully stimulate learning interest and improve students’ independent learning ability.In addition,the establishment of a curriculum development academic workshop mechanism,teaching and research while developing,and creating a democratic discussion environment are important measures to ensure the vitality of the theme activity curriculum development.
