| Traditional festival culture is part of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.It has witnessed the development of the long history of the Chinese nation and reflected the living conditions of the Chinese people for thousands of years,and is a valuable treasure of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.Therefore,the heritage of traditional festival culture is of great significance to the promotion of culture.As frontline educators,we should take up the important responsibility of passing on traditional culture.Pre-school education is an important part of the country’s basic education and is vital to the all-round development of young children.Kindergarten education about traditional festival culture is an important channel for the transmission of traditional culture.As a hidden curriculum,the kindergarten environment can have a subtle influence on children.The combination of traditional festival culture and environmental design can promote children’s understanding and heritage of traditional festival culture,cultivate their sense of national identity,pride and self-confidence,and improve their cognitive and practical skills.This study elaborates on the core concepts of traditional festivals,traditional festival culture and kindergarten environment creation,and explores the value of using traditional festival culture in kindergarten environment creation.Eight kindergartens in L city were selected for the study,and the research methods used were questionnaires,interviews and observations to analyse the current situation of the use of traditional festival culture in the creation of the environment in four dimensions: concept,content,process and evaluation.The study found that the following problems existed in the use of traditional festival culture in environmental design: teachers’ professionalism in the use of traditional festival culture in environmental design was insufficient;the use of traditional festival culture in environmental design was too formal,the use of unclear objectives,the use of a single choice of content and the lack of a systematic evaluation system;and the support system was not perfect.From the actual problems,some improvement strategies are proposed.Firstly,the professionalism of teachers needs to be constantly improved,such as strengthening teachers’ traditional festival culture literacy;improving teachers’ ability to guide children to participate in the creation of the environment;and developing teachers’ ability to create the environment independently.Secondly,to improve the effectiveness of the use of traditional festival culture,such as reasonable design of environmental creation goals;selection of appropriate traditional festival culture content;scientific evaluation of traditional festival culture environmental creation.Thirdly,all parties should improve the support system.On the one hand,kindergartens need to improve their own support system,and on the other hand,families and communities should take up their responsibilities. |
