The traditional Chinese festival culture has a deep cultural meaning and contains the values and sentiments of being a human being and the foundation of one’s life,which are quite important for children’s moral cultivation,personality cultivation,patriotism,national consciousness and pride.3-6 years old is a critical period of life development,both physically and psychologically contains great developmental plasticity,therefore,integrating traditional festival culture into The integration of traditional festival culture into kindergarten educational activities can promote children’s physical and mental development,and also enable our traditional national culture to be inherited and carried forward.In this paper,we used the interview method,literature research method and questionnaire survey to conduct a study on the development of traditional festival culture education activities for older children in kindergarten Y in Nanjing.Firstly,this study composes the information related to traditional festival culture education,including the research on traditional festival culture,traditional festival culture education,and kindergarten traditional festival culture education,and defines the concepts of traditional festival culture,traditional festival culture education,and kindergarten large class traditional festival culture education,and provides the theoretical basis related to this study to provide the theoretical foundation for the subsequent research.Secondly,this study investigated and analyzed the current situation in the dimensions of cognition,goal,content,form,and evaluation of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten large classes,and found that there were mainly the following problems:kindergarten management and teachers’ cognition of traditional festival culture education was shallow;the goal of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten large classes was not clear;traditional festival culture education in kindergarten large classes The content of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten classes lacks depth;the form of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten classes is relatively single;the evaluation of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten classes has a single focus.Through the analysis of the current situation,we found that the main reasons for the above problems are:insufficient support from kindergarten management and teachers’ lack of professionalism in traditional festival culture;the goals of traditional festival culture education are not set with attention to children’s experiences;the content of traditional festival culture education is not selected and chosen;the activities of traditional festival culture education are not coordinated and integrated with various areas;the evaluation of traditional festival culture education is not done from multiple perspectives.The evaluation of the activities of traditional festival culture education does not start from multiple perspectives.Finally,in order to analyze the problems and causes of the traditional festival culture education activities in kindergarten class Y,this study proposes four optimization strategies from kindergarten,teachers,parents and society,mainly including:improving the knowledge of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten;constructing the goal system of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten class Y;innovating the curriculum content of traditional festival culture education in kindergarten class Y;adopting scientific education methods to effectively carry out traditional festival culture education activities;respecting the subjectivity of children and scientifically evaluating traditional festival culture education activities;and expanding the cooperation of education parties to strengthen the cooperation of traditional festival culture education;Adopting scientific education methods to effectively carry out traditional festival culture education activities;respecting children’s subjectivity and scientifically evaluating traditional festival culture education activities;and expanding the cooperation of multiple parties in education to strengthen the synergy of traditional festival culture education.
