Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the central government, led by Comrade Xi Jinping, creatively proposed the "rural revitalization" strategy.Rural industrial revitalization,as an important part of rural revitalization,is the main driving force for promoting rural revitalization comprehensively.Social workers play an important role in the development of rural industries and need to strengthen research and practice on rural industry development to find effective models and paths.Based on this, this article explores the path of social work intervention in rural industrial development through a practical study of T village in A city. The sample selected in this article is T village in A city,Hubei Province, and the service object is the villagers who participate in the "self-help-mutual assistance" group for rural industrial revitalization.Firstly, after conducting research,it was found that the main industries in T village include fruit and vegetable cultivation, animal husbandry, forestry and fruit industry, and rural tourism. However, there are issues in the current development such as a single industrial structure, low technological content, insufficient funding, and weak marketing capabilities, ocial workers have significant advantages in providing technical and service support, integrating resources, and developing the potential of industrial development in the village. Therefore,it is necessary and feasible for social work to intervene in the development of the village’s industry.Secondly, this article elaborates on the practical process of the group work’s involvement in the development of T village’s industry in A city from two aspects:the preparatory stage and the intervention process. In the preparatory process, the name of the group and the work objectives were determined, scientific and reasonable theoretical basis was selected, and a detailed and feasible work plan was formulated. In the intervention process, the group work was carried out in four stages:in the starting stage, the team was established through the first group ice-breaking activity;in the mid-term development stage, two group activities were organized with the theme of interpreting industrial revitalization policies and exploring values;in the later mature stage, the group went to the industrial demonstration area for on-site observation and training activities;in the ending stage, the group organized mutual assistance and farewell activities. In the five activities, social workers successfully completed the group plan and achieved the group’s objectives.Furthermore, this article conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of the group’s intervention process and outcomes from two aspects:the activity process and the activity effects. In terms of process evaluation, qualitative analysis was mainly adopted to evaluate the group activity process, member performance, and interaction between social workers and members through information obtained from interviews and exchanges. In terms of effect evaluation, quantitative analysis was mainly used to objectively evaluate the willingness to participate, demand, and satisfaction levels of members through the design of relevant questionnaires.Overall, the group work’s involvement in the development of T village’s industry in A city has achieved good results, which can be used to extract experiences of group work supporting rural industrial development paths. Finally, this article summarizes the group work’s involvement in the development of T village’s industry in A city into four paths: "individual-group" mutual assistance path,"cognition-action" growth path,"theory-practice" development path, and "advantage-disadvantage" complementary path.At the same time, the article also reflects on the shortcomings of the practical guidance theory being too broad, lack of focus on specific problems, and lack of systematic and holistic approach. The author believes that in the future, scholars can further expand research space from two aspects:In addition, this article also reflects on some shortcomings in the intervention practice of group work and proposes prospects for research on the issue.
