In the context of vigorously developing the excellent Chinese traditional culture,the education of young children on festivals has received unprecedented attention.It has become especially important to make its potential cultural value penetrate into the life of young children,so that we need to strengthen the research,interpretation and living utilization of traditional solar terms culture.Many kindergartens have carried out education on the 24 solar terms and accumulated some practical experience,and the education has been effective in fostering solar terms emotions of young children.This study is based on the taxonomic theory of affective goals,life education theory and living education theory,and the action research of promoting the emotional development of senior kindergarteners with the theme activities of the solar terms was conducted.Children in one upper class of a kindergarten in Zhangzhou were selected as the research object.The questionnaire,interview and observation methods were used to collect data to understand the level of emotional development of the children in the class and the difficulties,and I analyzed the shortcomings in the existing research results of the children’s solar terms education and the problems of the teachers’ solar terms theme education in the class.In response to the above,three rounds of action research were conducted: the first round——perception and experience;the second round——enrichment and promotion;and the third round——emotional internalization.In order to verify the effectiveness of the action research through the objective data,the data were analyzed by SPSS26.0 software.The study found that the solar terms thematic activities promoted the development of children’s festive season emotions,helped children develop good habits and establish correct value systems,and enhanced teachers’ own professional competence and cultural literacy.Effective strategies were summarized to promote children’s emotional development of solar terms: constructing a complete path of designing festivals themed activities;adopting"experiential" and "inquiry" teaching methods;establishing a "bottom-up" "multi-directional approach.So the following recommendations have been summarized : The first,emphasize the solar terms education in the form of thematic activities;the second,improve teachers’ ability to design and implement the solar terms theme activities;the third,family,kindergarten and community need to work as a whole;the last,establish partnerships between kindergartens in southern and northern cities.
