After finishing high school mechanics, there is usually a lot of lectures and exercises around comprehensive mechanics questions. This approach is not effective and the students’ experience is also poor.Teachers and teaching researchers have been striving to find new ways out of this "problem sea battle".In this regard, comprehensive exploratory learning should be a direction worth continuous exploration.Based on this consideration, this article has developed and designed an exploratory learning activity using daily items.Take a piece of paper tape or thin thread, connect one end to a clip, and tie a heavy object to the other end;The strap wraps around the edge of the table, and when the heavy object hanging from the table falls,it drags the clamp on the table to accelerate towards the edge of the table;Place a paper ball or bottle cap in front of the clamp on the table. When it moves to the edge of the table, the paper ball or bottle cap leaves the clamp behind and is thrown flat onto the ground. If the paper ball or bottle cap is placed on the table edge in advance,it will collide with the clip that comes from the movement on the table, and the paper ball or bottle cap will fly out in an instant. With this simple device, students can explore many problems. These problems involve uniform acceleration motion, horizontal throwing motion, elastic collision and inelastic collision.Through such comprehensive exploration activities, students have the opportunity to associate the theories they have learned with their own feelings in real situations and integrate them; There is a certain opportunity to personally experience the excitement and surprise brought by exploring breakthroughs. It is certain that these gains will bring more long-term value to students.
