The Study On The Definition Of Elastic Collision In High School Physics Textbooks

At present,there are significant differences about the physics teaching materials on the definition of elastic collision between the current high schools and part of the universities.The result is:it makes the same conclusion for some collision by the two definitions,but also makes the judgment results of some collision are different according to the two definitions.By comparing and analyzing the two different definitions,there is a sign that some of the colleges physics teaching material about the definition of the elastic collision is more accurate and reasonable.Therefore on the fundamental of it,we find that modifying the high school physics teaching material on the definition of elastic collision into “Ideally(ignoring the collision system in the process of collision light,voice and so on),after collision,if the deformation of two objects can fully recover,such a collision is called elastic collision or perfect elastic collision”.such a definition is more appropriate because it not only can be accepted by the high school students but also maintain the same substance in college physics teaching materials on the definition of elastic collision.Meanwhile,combining with the new definition,the author proposes some written advises on elastic collision course content in current high school physics textbooks.
