After learning the relevant knowledge points of "momentum conservation law",students often still have the problem of low understanding,and rarely can apply the knowledge points to practical problems.In view of this phenomenon,this paper carries out a comprehensive inquiry teaching design by combining the law of conservation of momentum and law of conservation of energy,hoping that students can deepen their understanding of "law of conservation of momentum" in the process of inquiry learning,give play to creative thinking on comprehensive physical problems,and improve their grasp of knowledge.In this inquiry-based instructional design course,each class is organized around a central problem.In the first class,the teacher shows the real situation of the collision between basketball and table tennis and the "unbelievable" phenomenon.and gradually simplify the model in the process,so that students can clearly understand the changes of relevant physical quantities before and after the collision.The second class,around the question: "how to simulate the collision process between a big ball and a small ball?",through the design and implementation of experiments to verify the results calculated by the theory in the first class,the whole class is dominated by experiments,combined with the theoretical analysis of the last class.The process of inquiry also includes the application of the law of momentum conservation.Students can have a deeper understanding of this part of knowledge,expand their thinking,skillfully apply the law of momentum conservation,and finally eliminate part of their doubts.In the third class,the teacher led the students back to the real situation from the model.To carry out the exploration,let the students repeatedly use the knowledge of momentum conservation and mechanical energy conservation to study the process of the collision between basketball and table tennis,through the analysis and calculation in different reference frames,let them learn to solve the physical problems through the transformation of reference frame.In the fourth class,let the students take the ground as the reference frame to calculate the collision process of basketball and table tennis again strictly,and explain the reasons for the confusion of "momentum conservation" and "mechanical energy conservation",so as to convince the students.And let students understand the similarities and differences in solving problems with different reference frames.The application of inquiry-based teaching method in physics class can stimulate students' thinking,make them have a deeper understanding of physical phenomena and related physical knowledge,and improve their comprehensive ability and quality.Therefore,the teaching design of this paper also integrates the concept of inquiry into it,and tries to help students learn to build physical models and improve their analytical ability through this teaching method,so that students can establish a scientific attitude that physics is closely related to life.
