| The rural school principal in the new era is a key factor for the development and revitalization of rural education.Against the backdrop of the strong support and development of rural basic education informationization in the national series of education informationization policy documents,this study focuses on the Education Informationization2.0 Action Plan to enhance the informationization leadership of rural junior high school principals,promote the transformation of school education and teaching methods,and move towards high-quality development of education and teaching.This study investigates the current status of rural school education informationization and the informationization leadership of principals in rural junior high schools in W County,Northeast Guangdong Province,through surveys of principals and teachers using established questionnaires and leadership standards.Data were collected and analyzed using SPSS 23.0software,and the results showed that the information literacy,informationization planning ability,informationization environment construction ability,informationization management ability,and informationization evaluation ability of rural junior high school principals in W County were all low,influenced by many factors such as the individual situation of rural school principals,hardware in rural junior high schools,and the important five dimensions.Guided by transformational leadership theory,distributed leadership theory,and the deep integration theory of information technology and curriculum,this study proposes strategies to enhance the informationization leadership of rural junior high school principals from three dimensions: principals,junior high schools,and education administrative departments,including emphasizing "literacy" to improve the information literacy of rural junior high school principals;focusing on "planning" to enhance their informationization planning ability;strengthening "environmental construction" to improve their informationization environment construction ability;paying attention to "management" to enhance their informationization management ability;and highlighting "evaluation" to improve their informationization evaluation ability.Due to limitations such as time,scope,and content,this study can be further expanded to include more subjects,leadership characteristics,and the influence of traditional regional culture to conduct more scientific,in-depth,and comprehensive data analysis and support the development of rural junior high school education informationization. |
