| The construction of local culture is the soul of rural revitalization.Promoting and developing local culture is an important content of the rural revitalization strategy and an important way to achieve the construction of a beautiful countryside.Integrating local culture into rural schools is the only way to achieve the development of local culture.However,the current decline of rural areas,the loss of rural population,and the departure of local talents are fundamentally due to the reduced sense of identity of rural local culture.As a carrier of rural education,local culture can awaken and stimulate the rural population’s sense of identity with their hometown,thereby stimulating their sense of mission to build their hometown,and thereby allowing more local talents to stay in the countryside and build the countryside.Rural principals are both the key to education and the soul of rural schools,playing a leading role in the process of integrating rural culture into rural schools.Exploiting the leadership of rural principals is a precise way to integrate local culture into rural campuses.The purpose of this study is to explore the current situation and problems in the process of integrating local culture into rural schools based on the principal leadership theory,and then propose corresponding countermeasures.The author adopts a qualitative research method,combining elements such as local culture,school enrollment,and curriculum development,to determine M rural primary school as a research case.Through data collection methods such as interview and observation,the author conducts a survey of the integration of local culture into rural schools,and carries out a localized interpretation of it.Combining literature reading and research practice,the author determines the transformational leadership theory as the explanatory framework for this article,and divides the principal leadership into three dimensions: growth value leadership,principal curriculum leadership,and principal organizational leadership.In this three-dimensional dimension,the author analyzes the integration of local culture in rural schools.Firstly,the author discusses the integration of rural culture into rural schools from the perspective of principal value leadership from the perspectives of school core values,school development planning,and the creation of school cultural atmosphere.That is,the setting of school core values is relatively complete,and the campus environment highlights rural culture;Secondly,it discusses the integration of rural culture into rural schools from the perspective of principals’ curriculum leadership,including the development and implementation of rural curriculum,and the guidance of teachers’ professional growth.That is,rural curriculum is rich in content,and rural teachers tap into educational potential;Finally,from the perspective of principals’ organizational leadership,this paper explores the integration of rural culture into rural schools from the perspective of multiple collaborative rural culture education,which means that parents cooperate strongly with local education.Based on the above analysis of the leadership of the principals of M School,the author finds that the principals’ school running philosophy has a low degree of compatibility with local culture,a weak appeal to the school running philosophy,a nameless school development plan,a rigid cultural atmosphere,a lack of professional guidance in the development of local curriculum for principals,a lack of ability to integrate local resources,a lack of enthusiasm for teacher curriculum development,and difficulties in collaboration between schools and parents The separation of the school system and the community system is a dilemma faced by rural schools when integrating local culture.The author analyzes the reasons from the perspectives of rural cultural ecology,rural school development,principal professional development,and principal personal growth.Finally,the author proposes corresponding countermeasures on how to better address the above issues from the aspects of creating rural school culture,constructing a principal training system,and stimulating principals’ learning consciousness. |
