| The process of urbanization in China is accompanied by the expropriation of farmland and residential land.A large number of landless farmers have relocated from the familiar villages to the urban communities.During this process,their way of life,production and thinking patterns are forced to reconstruct,resulting in psychological tension,anxiety and loneliness.In particular,the elderly group,limited by age,habits and other factors,is difficult to adapt to the new production and lifestyle,which further aggravates the loneliness and reduces their quality of life after moving to the new community.The new-type urbanization advocates "peopleoriented" and focuses on improving the quality of life of farmers who enter the city.Therefore,how social work can improve the loneliness of the landless elderly is a subject worthy of indepth study.Taking the landless elderly in Y community as the research object.After the questionnaire survey to understand the overall situation of loneliness of the elderly lost their land,through the semi-structured interview of 10 elderly lost their land,from the weakened family interaction,the interruption of neighborhood and peer support and the absence of community support to analyze the social factors of loneliness of the elderly lost their land.Focusing on the personal advantages of the landless elderly and the resources in the environment,this paper conducted intervention on 6 group members through 6 group activities.First of all,by creating an atmosphere,encouraging the use of resistant language,and encouraging trying new things,the team members can affirm their own abilities and stimulate the motivation for change.Secondly,by mining the resources of collective memory,group members are encouraged to enhance interaction,form a social support network,and enhance the sense of power at the interpersonal level.Finally,focusing on community resources and exploring the changes of the community together can enhance the team members’ cognition of community resources and promote the team members’ community participation.The effectiveness of group work intervention in improving the loneliness of landless elderly was demonstrated by the process recording of the group members’ performance and the evaluation of the decrease in the UCLA loneliness scale.The research conclusion of this paper is that the strength-based group work has a certain effect on reducing the loneliness of the landless elderly,and the theory of strengths perspective has its applicability in the practice of social work for the elderly which also needs to be improved.At the end of the article,some suggestions are put forward from different subjects such as families,communities,and social organizations,in order to reduce loneliness of landless elderly for a better life in the new community. |
