A Practical Research On Case Work Intervening In Relieving Loneliness Of The Elderly With Urban Minimum Living Security

At present,with the deepening of social aging,we should pay more attention to the elderly.As a relatively weak group in the city,the elderly with minimum living allowance in the city need not only material help,but also spiritual assistance.However,the spiritual needs of the elderly with minimum living allowances in cities are easily overlooked,which will lead to mental difficulties for the elderly and a serious sense of loneliness.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to and intervene in the loneliness of the elderly with minimum living allowance in cities.Case work provides services for individuals or families on the principle of individualization,which can help clients improve their ability of normal life.Therefore,this paper chooses case work to intervene in the loneliness of the elderly with minimum living allowance in cities to alleviate the problem.In this paper,qualitative research method is adopted,the practical process is based on social support theory,and professional social work methods and skills are used to help people with D minimum living allowance in H community to relieve their loneliness and improve their ability of normal life.First of all,this paper understands the situation of the elderly with minimum living allowance in H community through loneliness questionnaire,analyzes the current situation and causes of loneliness of the elderly with minimum living allowance in community,and finds that there is a problem of loneliness and there is a need to alleviate it.Then,from the interviewed elderly,an elderly person with a high level of loneliness was analyzed and selected as a case service object.By using the methods of semi-structured interview and participatory observation,the case owner was evaluated from the aspects of problems and needs,and the case service plan was designed.Secondly,according to the content of the service plan,social workers carry out case service in five stages: case receiving,development,transformation,consolidation and case receiving,and intervene from the perspectives of the case owner’s own advantages,social support network and linkable resources.Help the case owner to relieve loneliness,improve the current social support network of the case owner,and improve the self-identity and normal life ability of the case owner.Finally,the effect of case intervention is evaluated and it is found that this case is very effective.By combing the practical process of the case,this study draws two conclusions:the elderly with urban subsistence allowances have loneliness to alleviate their needs,and the case intervention in the elderly with urban subsistence allowances has unique advantages in alleviating their loneliness.On the basis of reflecting on the shortage of cases and its influencing factors,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions,such as speeding up the training of social workers,advocating the policy support of minimum living allowance for the elderly and promoting the effective linkage of responsible subjects.Through this study,I hope to provide some case experiences for the practice of social work in the field of urban low-income elderly,and at the same time provide practical reference for the related research of urban low-income elderly.
