The labor education of young children is receiving more and more attention,and the cultivation of work habits is becoming more prominent.The family and kindergarten are the two main places for cultivating the work habits of young children.Parents and teachers can promote the cultivation of young children’s work habits through communication and information exchange,and collaborative education in the home and school settings can effectively implement this.This study takes ten kindergartens in H city as the main case,and analyzes the current situation of cultivating young children’s labor habits under the joint education of families and kindergartens through questionnaire surveys and interviews.First,the results show that both teachers and parents support the labor education of young children,and emphasize that improving children’s self-service ability is the primary purpose of cultivating good labor habits.Second,in terms of cultivation methods,teachers are more inclined to use the "daily duty" method,while parents are more inclined to guide young children to participate in labor by setting an example themselves.Third,in terms of the cultivation environment,teachers are more inclined to organize activities within the kindergarten,while parents are more inclined to arrange labor that is suitable for young children’s abilities at home.The analysis revealed the following issues: first,parents lack clear goals in cultivating children’s labor habits.Second,teachers provide a narrow scope of content in cultivating children’s labor habits.Third,parents’ participation in co-education activities in kindergarten is low.Fourth,communication between teachers and parents lacks effectiveness and continuity.Further analysis of the interviews with teachers and parents suggested that these problems may be caused by the following factors: first,parents do not attach enough importance to cultivating children’s labor habits.Second,teachers do not have a strong desire to learn about cultivating labor habits.Third,parents are unclear about their roles and responsibilities in co-education on labor habits.Fourth,the planning of teacher-parent co-education in labor habits is weak.Based on the above investigations and analyses,the study concludes that the following aspects need to be addressed to solve the current problems: first,both parents and teachers need to change their views on cultivating labor habits.Second,the training system for cultivating children’s labor habits in kindergartens needs to be improved.Third,the content of parent education on labor habits needs to be updated.Fourth,the forms of co-education on labor habits between family and kindergarten need to be improved. |
