Reconstruction Of Meaning:The Practice Of Social Work For Active Aging Reflection On Rope And Experience

According to data from the seventh national census,the number of people aged 60 and above in China has reached 264 million.It is expected that this number will exceed 300 million during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period,and China will also enter the stage of moderate aging from mild aging.In the face of the grim reality and irreversible trend of population aging,the Party Central Committee put forward the national strategy of "actively responding to population aging",that is,to respond to the practical challenges brought by population aging from different levels with a positive response attitude,positive policy framework and active working methods,so as to achieve the strategic goal of providing high-quality services for the elderly and promoting high-quality economic and social development.As a third-party force to provide services for the elderly,social work is regarded by many scholars and practitioners as a professional presence that actively responds to the aging of the population.Therefore,this study takes social work to help active aging as the research theme,and takes the meaning world of the elderly as the service field,and attempts to analyze the practical exploration and experience reflection of social work forces in helping the elderly to build meaning.In this study,field research was the main research method,and data collection and qualitative analysis were carried out through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews.Through field research,social workers found that older people in community D have partial loss of the right to self-definition,insufficient use of personal value,limited right to self-determination and autonomous action,and lack of meaningful poverty of intergenerational interaction.On this basis,social workers found that the elderly in D community have the need to redefine themselves,realize value reconstruction,build confidence in life,and strengthen social connection.In view of this,social workers take the meaning world of the client as an important service field,and with the help of the "Elder History Narration" service,through life course review,life event reinterpretation-life story dissemination,the client and his surroundings have a new understanding of himself,and then achieve the service goal of meaning reconstruction.When reflecting on the service experience of social work to help active aging,it is found that social workers advocate "upward borrowing" in strategic choices,"five-community linkage" in service mechanisms,"meaning construction" in the practice path,and "the elderly have a future" in the main body positioning.However,there are some shortcomings in the measurement of the needs of the elderly,the construction of service models for the construction of the meaning of the elderly,the measurement of the service effectiveness of the elderly,and the analysis of social work service mechanisms,so further follow-up and improvement are needed.
