An Experimental Study On Fitness And Mental Health Of College Students By Dance Cheer Leading

Abstract/Summary:
Research purpose:"When sports are strong,China is strong,and when national sports prosper,sports prosper." Nowadays,the health of society has become a hot issue of common concern of mankind.As the hope and future of the motherland,the physical and mental health status of college students is not only related to their health and happiness,but also related to the future and destiny of the country.However,according to the survey,although the body shape indicators such as the height and weight of college students have been greatly improved compared to before,the problems such as obesity and overweight caused by the bad lifestyle caused by social development have also increased rapidly.The incidence of myopia has continued to increase due to the increase in the use of mobile phones and TV,and the psychological diseases such as depression and mania among college students have also been increasingly reflected.In this study,dance cheerleading was used as an intervention method and flower cheerleading and street dance cheerleading were used as the intervention content to intervene college students for 12 weeks,analyze the changes of various indicators of health and physical fitness and factors of mental health of college students before and after the experiment,and explore the effects of dance cheerleading on health and mental health of college students.Research methods:In this study,literature data method,teaching experiment method,psychological test method and mathematical statistics method are the main research methods.Two nature classes of aviation major grade 2021 in Xi ’an Jiaotong University are randomly selected as experimental objects and set as experimental group and control group,with 20 people in the experimental group and 20 people in the control group.The experimental group performed the dance cheerleading teaching experiment,while the control group performed the routine physical education course teaching.The experiment period was 12 weeks,90 minutes each time,twice a week.The physical fitness indexes of the subjects were tested before and after the experiment,and the mental health was diagnosed by SCL-90.The research results:(1)In terms of body composition,WHR index values of both boys and girls in the experimental group decreased significantly(P<0.05),but there was no significant change in BMI index of male and female students(P>0.05),there were no significant changes in BMI and WHR values between boys and girls in control group(P>0.05).(2)In terms of cardiorespiratory fitness,the values of vital capacity of boys and girls in the experimental group were significantly improved and showed significant differences(P<0.05),the pulmonary capacity index of male and female students in the control group increased,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in 1000 m and 800 m values between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).(3)In terms of muscle fitness,there were significant differences between push-ups and sit-ups in the experimental group(P<0.05),girls showed significant difference in sit-up index(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in push-ups,sit-ups and grip strength between boys and girls in control group(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in grip strength between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).(4)In terms of flexibility,the seated flexion values of boys and girls in the experimental group were significantly improved and showed significant differences(P< 0.05),the anterior flexion value of the sitting body in the control group had a slight decreasing trend,but there was no significant difference(P> 0.05).(5)The mental health status of college students in the aspects of interpersonal sensitivity,hostility,paranoia and psychosis has significant changes compared with the national college students’ norms(P<0.05),no significant difference was found in other factors(P>0.05).(6)In the experimental group,other factors such as compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety and terror all showed different degrees of decrease after intervention,and showed significant differences(P<0.05).Research conclusion:(1)In terms of physical fitness,after 12 weeks of dance cheerleading intervention,male students had a positive promoting effect on WHR value of body composition,vital capacity value of cardiopulmonary fitness,sit-up index value of muscle fitness,push-up index value of muscle fitness,and forward bending value of sitting position of flexibility fitness.(2)After 12 weeks of dance cheerleading intervention,the WHR value of body composition,the vital capacity value of cardiopulmonary fitness,the sit-up value of muscle fitness,and the forward bending value of sitting position of flexibility and fitness had a benign improvement effect.(3)The mental health status of college students in the aspects of compulsion,anxiety and terror has significant changes compared with the national norms of college students.Although there are problems in the mental health status of college students to different degrees,they are all within the normal threshold range.(4)After 12 weeks of dance cheerleading intervention,the six factors of mental health,namely compulsion,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,terror,and other factors,all showed varying degrees of decrease,indicating that dance cheerleading teaching experiment can not only play a positive role in improving the physical condition of college students,but also play a positive role in improving their physical condition.At the same time,the mental health status of the patients was obviously improved.
