According to the 2014 National Physical Fitness Monitoring Bulletin,the physical quality of contemporary college students is not optimistic.At the same time,the mental health of college students has aroused the attention of all walks of life.With the pop dance of the emerging sports project continued into the physical education in Colleges and universities,find a can not only improve the students' physical quality,but also can improve the sports level of their psychological health has become a hot research in current physical education.Pop dance movement as a modern fitness method,not only can effectively improve the coordination ability,form a beautiful body,but also improve the interpersonal communication ability and aesthetic ability,so as to promote the healthy development of students both physically and mentally.This paper takes female college students participating in pop dance club in Suzhou Health College as the experimental object,and studies the influence of pop dance on physical fitness and mental health of female college students.Through literature research,teaching practice and questionnaire survey,the female college students participating in pop dance before and after the physical fitness indicators and mental health test results were statistically analyzed.Differences between the experimental group and the control group data analysis in weight,50 and 800 meters run,one minute sit ups,sit and reach,standing long jump and other indicators of the results were significant(P<0.05),the analysis of the 50 meters run and standing long jump results are very significant difference(P< 0.01).In the psychological test results of SCL90 symptom checklist,there were significant differences in three items of compulsion,hostility and psychosis between the two groups(P < 0.05),and the other factors showed very significant difference(P<0.01).These results fully explain the pop dance exercise can improve the female college students' physical coordination and endurance quality in a certain extent,can effectively improve the female college students' heart and lung function,improve the body composition of the female college students,reasonable to reduce weight,at the same time,pop dance also has good effect on improving the psychological quality of female college students.
