A Case Study About The Satir Family Therapy Model Intervention Of Parent-child Conflict

Along with profound changes in Chinese society,the process of urbanization is accelerating,the family culture and structure are changing constantly.The modern family crisis,such as parent-child conflict,domestic violence and marriage crisis is happening frequently.The family crisis is not only harmful to individual growth,but also do damage to family and society harmony.More and more experts and scholars began to study the impact that native family on individual growth,more and more family accept family treatment.The Satir Family Therapy Model is a treatment based on the concept of humanism that everyone has the ability and resources to change and grow.During the settlement,Satir developed a series of vivid and effective intervention techniques,including sculpture and family remodeling.In recent years in our country,some psychological counselors,therapists and professional social workers have stared to use the Satir Family Therapy Model to provide services,but the current case study of this model is still relatively rare.This study adopted the qualitative research method to carry out case study,which use literature,interview and observation to collect the data.We use this model to intervene a family exists parent-child conflict,using the Satir Human Validation Process Model track the whole process,building relationship phase-family diagnosis,exploring the problems and family rules;chaos phase-family remodeling,help the family members recognize the problem and make changes;consolidation stage-practice new consistent communication patterns.Finally,through feedback we got the research conclusion.Compared with other modes,we found the problems and shortcomings during the treatment and brought proposal for further study.At last,giving an expectation to the future development of the Satir Family Therapy Model in China.This study concluded that the Satir Family Therapy Model is effective in solving parent-child conflict.After the treatment,the poor communication pattern between family members got changed,the parent-child conflict problem is resolved.Which also improved individual's self-worth,the clients can live a better life in a vibrant state.Old bad coping modes was taken by new consistent communication pattern,the family function develop towards the healthy direction.
