In our new curriculum standards,it is proposed that the development of core literacy is an important content in scientific education,and promoting the ability of thinking is the object in teaching process.Thus,the primary task or the starting point of the education innovation is to enhance the scientific ability of thinking of students.Herein,the manner of questionnaire survey is employed to investigate the general high school students and seven physics teachers in four schools in Wanzhou,Chongqing,which are mainly focused on the physical scientific ability of thinking.It is shown that the entire level is somewhat low.Most students host basical physical scientific ability of thinking,who can solve the simple and some slight hard problems.However,the ability to deal with integrated problems related to practice or natural phenomena is relatively low,because the understanding of physical models for most students lies in the perceptual stage.They do not understand the intrinsic relation of problems and lack the ability to abstract natural phenomena into physical models.Meanwhile,most students have little subjective initiative and rely on teachers seriously,which leads to the limitation of discovery of problem and ability of creative thinking.It is shown that some teachers have limitations in their level of understanding of scientific thinking that is defined by the new standards.They overly focus on the enrolment rate,together with the tight teaching schedule,leading to insufficient implementation of demonstrating methods and enlightening wisdom,which seriously affects the quality of high school physics teaching and the improvement of students’ scientific thinking literacy in physics.Therefore,based on the new curriculum,we propose teaching strategies and suggestions such as student-centered,strengthening independent learning and learning to learn combined the school’s actual situation.It is important to enhance teachers’ leading consciousness and highlight the process of enlightening wisdom.The school should open up and absorb anything and everything.It should also pay attention to experimental teaching and optimization of small class teaching.It is expected that high school students’ ability of physical scientific thinking could reach a new level.
